This is real powerful magic!

A very deceptive method utilizing a prop most magicians would never think of. Another great product from a hugely independent thinker.

Very simple and very deceptive. Good explanation, very well taught. Simple and clean. Maybe a little expensive, but I totally recommend it. Great idea!

This is my favorite routine now, and I think it will continue to be, at least, for the next five years.

I was looking for a trick like this for years. Now that I found it I'll never put it down.

I think this is an ingenious effect by Luke and he has made the handling the best, to get the best reaction. In my opinion, even eagle-eyed people won't detect this.

Luke has utilized an underused item and has come up with an amazing routine!

A wonderful DVD that is suitable for all, no matter what skill level. The only critique I had was with the quality of the gimmick. An eagle eye'd spectator may notice, but don't worry, you can readily buy high quality replacements cheaply. I'm still giving this 5 star as it's so darn clever!

Great routine! Even though he is already a bit of a believer, my dad now literally thinks I have psychic powers.

In short: excellent. The primary method Luke gives in the DVD is so deceptive and sneaky that I can't imagine any spectator figuring it out on their own. On top of that he also gives four other methods tailored to different performance scenarios, so you'll be able to perform the routine anytime, anywhere. Luke also explains everything very clearly and the production values are, as with all Theory11 products, excellent.
Overall this is definitely worth the price of admission. Simple, direct mentalism at it's finest.

Really interesting take and use of the deck. After watching the DVD, I got to it and the nice thing about it-you can practice while watching a game on TV, while flying, or riding the train. I like his approach, not limited to one but the variants demonstrated can be adapted to special demands. Overall very satisfied.

Just got the DVD with some gimmicks attached on the package. I've always trusted Luke Jermay with his products and his breakthrough approaches to magic. So getting this product did not took a lot of time to think about. I'm glad I did the right thing!
You may compare this with a similar product out in the market, but this product comes with different methods that works. Hook. Line. Sinker.
I'm always looking for a card effect to add in my current stand-up routine. I'm glad I have this!

This is a product that grew on me after watching the demo several times. Color separation did not seem such an amazing trick - but after playing with the product and watching the DVD I believe this is an extremely powerful mentalism demonstration.
Method is excellent, and indeed very simple (although it might require couple of hours of exercising to automate the movements). There is one peek that is taught in detail and that is relatively simple. Luke is excellent teacher: in addition to comprehensive explanation of moves, he gives good story to introduce the trick, lines to use when something goes wrong, and indicates details that can make the routine appear very baffling.
As another reviewer stated, if presented well, this routine can indeed fool everyone. I give it high rating also because it uses a gimmick that we all know - but have never thought of using in such a way. Luke says that we often rush to get the latest tricks and gimmicks, believing that previous generation is obsolete. This trick demonstrates that even gimmicks that have been around for long time can be used for some extremely creative thinking.

When I first saw the trailer for Colorblind at 2am, I was only half-awake. I really didn't think much of it, let alone thought it was fairly boring. After watching it a couple more times when I was truly awake, I slowly began to really like it. Until I watched the DVD for the first time, along with receiving the gimmicks, I didn't have a clue as to what the method could be. To keep this as simple as possible, I LOVE COLORBLIND.
Five methods are covered on the DVD, and for a good reason. Luke says that each method is useful for different performance scenarios, so you can ALWAYS be able to perform. This is good because this trick demonstrates a "skill" and it would be strange to not be able to show this "skill" at certain times. My favorite method is the original handling... it is very clever, easy, fun, and seems to be the most universal of all the methods.
Anyway, I don't believe I need to discuss the quality of the DVD because, at nearly two hours and with theory11 quality, you will learn what you need to know. Hands down, you shouldn't have any any questions after a solid viewing of the DVD. To conclude, I didn't know I was going to love this effect so much, but am honored to be able to perform it!

So this DVD is comprised of 5 different methods, as stated on the product page. Luke goes over all 5 methods in extreme detail and provides you with everything you need to get each of those methods done.
With the DVD, you also get other things you need to accomplish some of the other methods as presented and explained. Like I said, I can't go into detail of the methods without exposing too much, but I'll take a shot and describe some of the methods as they are performed.
Original Handling:
This handling is the original as seen in his old DVD "An Extraordinary Exhibition of Seeing With the Fingertips". This takes a gimmick you probably already have and uses it in a totally brand new way. As soon as you see the method to this version you will be like this: "That's the gimmick?". I mean that in the best way, because it's a gimmick you might have but never thought of using it in this context. Overall, I give the method a 4/5.
The ____ Method:
The reason why I left the name of the method blank is because the name of another gimmick is used in the title. The Colorblind Pack that comes with the DVD also includes this gimmick, so you're automatically set to go with this one. This gimmick is something you can carry around yourself all the time, in any situation. You can also use this gimmick with a borrowed deck. I like the idea of this handling of this gimmick, but for me I won't be using it much at all. I give the method a 4/5 because of the deviousness and thinking behind it.
The Face Down Method:
This method uses the same gimmick I just finished talking about, except this is used for a restaurant setting or when a group is seated at a table. This can be done with a borrowed deck. Luke goes in good detail on how to use the previous gimmick to accomplish this method. It's also a devious method as well. I give this method yet another 4/5.
Blindfolded Method:
Same method as Face Down except you have someone place a blindfold on you. Yes, you do it blindfolded. This makes it stronger because you can't see at all. I give this method a 4.5/5. I didn't give this a perfect 5 even though it was blindfolded because you are limited to where you perform this. But overall a very great handling.
The Emergency Method:
Whenever you have none of the gimmicks on you, the spectator can give you the deck and do the exact same trick, with no peeks involved. Personally, I think this is the BEST method out of all the others. I've played around with this method more than the others, and it simply can be done anywhere in pretty much any situation possible. I've used this method a bit to different people, and floored every one of them. You can even let them shuffle the deck, like in all the other methods above. I feel as if this is the most clean of them all, because you mix all of the cards in a wash on a table, completely mixed, and have the spectator select the cards they want you to read. I think this method is the most free and amazing of them all, being impromptu and not gimmicked. 5/5
Wrap-Up:
All in all, I give this DVD and Luke a 4.5/5, disregarding that scandal he's caught up in at the moment. I think the effect, when presented right, is a miracle and will fool everyone in the room. I took a dive into the risk pool and came up victorious, so I recommend this DVD if you want to branch out from JUST another card trick. This combines mentalism into a miracle, and if presented right, isn't an ordinary card trick. In my opinion, it IS worth $30.
Recommended.
