What advice would you give to new performers just starting today?

Don't be afraid to be different and to put more of yourself into your magic. Who you are as a performer is a sum of the things that interest you and inspire you. Look outside magic for inspiration and you'll stand out.

What is your creative process - how do you come up with new effects and ideas?

I think a lot in the terms of comics and graphic novels. If I could just invent something without a method, what would it look like? How would it be interesting?

For example: If you could turn yourself invisible would you just do that? Or would you step out of the room and then walk back inside unseen and knock things over, read sealed documents, etc. From a storytelling perspective, the second way is far more interesting.
