Age

Years in Magic
21

Dalton has performed over hundreds of magic shows for Walt Disney World & Universal Studios, Orlando FL.

He is a real wizard.

In the span of three short years, Dalton Wayne went from young curious magician to an intelligent unique creator, as his stellar production work ultimately led to a wildly successful solo career. Wayne paired his tricks with visual-twisting videos and a self-assured, flamboyant personality.

His dapper fashion sense set him apart from many of his magician peers, and his confidence often came across as boastful or even egotistical, albeit amusingly so. This flamboyance, of course, made for good press, something that Wayne enjoyed in spades during his sudden rise to celebrity status. He was a media darling, and mouthing off about whatever happened to cross his mind. He frequently speaks his mind without hisitation but his steady presence in the 'magic' limelight couldn't eclipse his magic/deceptive talent.

Which artists have inspired you the most in your work thus far?

There isn't a real explanation of the way I'm delivering art. It's just what I feel. When you look at artist like Gaudi and Michael Angelo what if they just didn't have that outlet, what if they werent allowed to paint? Basiclly they would go crazy. So its like for me Im allowed to not be crazy because I can express myself through my art. * Myself.

What is your creative process - how do you come up with new effects and ideas?

Just do what you love to do :) People now adays just try to force tricks and ideas and then they end up just taking a old idea and doing a new move in it then calling it original. I don't focus on creating effects, I just live life and do what makes me happy such as watching cartoons and going to theme parks ( Disney World/ Universal Studios mostly) and a idea will pop up and then I just..do it, like Nike. I've always been a "artistic" child so creating things I enjoy never became a difficult task to me. And I always created magic tricks for me, not for anyone else. I aim to please myself and if others enjoy my ideas aswell then thumbs up!

If you could have dinner with any magician, past or present, who would that be and why?

Myself. We have alot in common.

What advice would you give to new performers just starting today?

The first thing when you are becoming your own artist you must establish your own 'sound' . When you think about successful magicians now, you see that they are unique and no one before them was 'them'. Dont follow the leader, remember haters gonna hate. Be yourself no matter what and create something for the world that they haven't seen before, dont repeat the past. Keep your magic and your creations SIMPLE. When you run off to far into a trick such as cutting to the aces a million times, it gets boring to everyone. The more simplicity you add to a effect the better the outcome is. Remember if you're bored with your trick, everyone else will to. Shoot for the stars, so if you fall you land on a cloud. Be the next best thing.
