Why are you holding the pad that the spectator is writing on?
When has anyone ever, I mean EVER, written on a pad which is being held by someone else?
Regardless of what happens next, the effect is dead on arrival.

I like the idea. I tried to work it and got called out. Now as someone that almost exclusively does mentalism, I understand that risk must be made to get strong reactions, so I wish there was more psychology taught with it. It's a very short clip but that's all you need.

I just watched this and I have to say the method is incredibly clever! It's one of those things that you wish you had thought of, just because it is that good! I have been looking for a good drawing duplicate pad for a while now but I was hesitant on buying a gimmicked one as it would be expensive to replace once I was finished with the pad. Mind Veil solves this. Because it uses a normal pad that you can obtain very easily, it would not be difficult at all you purchase as many of these as you need.
For me the thing that really makes this effect worth it is that fact the pad does all the work! You don't need to construct anything or attach anything to the pad. The download is pretty short, but that's because the method is so simple! You are taken step by step through how to perform the routine and then you re-watch the demo with captions explaining what is happening at that moment (this reminded me of how Wayne Houchin recaps everything at the end of his DVDs). It doesn't matter if you are a beginner at mentalism or an expert, you will definitely be using this, I know I will. If you are looking for a good drawing duplicate that doesn't use any gimmicks and is inexpensive, then Mind Veil is the one for you!
