I absolutely adore this control. To my friends, it looks completely inconceivable; a great trick to have in your arsenal.
Joseph Brimicombe • England • 5/12/2013
Even with the variation on the classic cascade control, this is still rather unoriginal. That being said, this download is great.
Kyle • New Zealand • 5/11/2013
This control is my go to control whenever I need to. Zach teaches you everything you need to know in order to perform this move seamlessly, and with the HD quality it makes the learning experience far easier. Well done Zach.
Andrew • America • 5/8/2013
I love performing this - I fooled my brother with this and he is a magician too. He actually does shows and I fooled him. Thanks for the trick. I give it a 5 out of 5.
Paco • USA • 4/29/2013
I never really liked my cascade control, but this looks really nice. I do it all the time just for fun, and even then it amazes my friends. It is practical, looks nice, and has definitely made its way into my arsenal of sleights and tricks.
Jack • United Kingdom • 4/25/2013
I absolutely love this move. At first it's really hard but when you have watched the tutorial a few times, you get to grips with it. I haven't yet used it on the street yet but I'm certain I will over the next few days. Overall a brilliant move. Thank you, Zach!
Elliott • London • 4/20/2013
Great download Zach, can't wait for Turnkey.
Vath • Cambodia • 4/12/2013
Great teaching and I love the control
Chris • Oklahoma • 3/19/2013
This trick ROCKS! I use it all the time and get pretty good reactions from it. This is also a trick that is a lot of fun to practice over and over again. Buy it! It's worth it!
Andrew Frost • England • 3/19/2013
Good download, although more teaching is needed on the "dribble". The control is practical and has been added to my repertoire.
Sullivan Case • California • 3/13/2013
It's a great trick, but I agree with Daniel Zheng in that Zach didn't cover many problems. Also, I thought he didn't really teach the dribble type fall, he just showed it.
Daniel Zheng • Michigan • 3/9/2013
The tutorial was extremely in depth; but unfortunately, it didn't cover many problems I encountered while practicing. I think Zach could've done a better job.
Greg Holroyd • Leeds • 2/26/2013
Awesome download. Yes it may have been done before but it's a sneaky utility move and it's covered with a sexy flourish so I'm happy. Also contains some awesome tips to nail flourishes.
Gavin Lim • Singapore • 1/26/2013
Nice trick and easy!

If you're ready for something knacky, time consuming, that rewarding when you master it... then I highly recommend Victoria! Zach will sometimes go off on a tangent every now and then, but his instructions are very clean cut and informative.
Marc • Canada • 1/20/2013
In my opinion, this is one of Zach's worst downloads.
The Victoria Move:
Not original, even Zach himself stated it is very similar to the cascade control, only with a slight twist 7/10
Routines:
Quite knacky, but still good. 9/10
Teaching:
Other than the originality, this download is seamless. 10/10
Quality: HD 720p. 10/10
Overall, I have to give this a 8/10
Kevin Schaller • Tropoja, Albania • 1/17/2013
Very useful and clean move! Sick!
David • Maryland, U.S.A. • 1/15/2013
To be honest, I did not actually like this download that much. The instruction, while it was long, did not address many of the problems that I encountered while I was learning it. Besides, I feel like the download did not really teach me anything very new. I have seen and mastered something very similar to this control before, and I thought that this new, updated version would make it easier or something like that. The only difference actual difference between Victoria and the control I knew made Victoria harder and less practical. However, I still use the control that I knew beforehand, so Victoria itself is not too bad, but it takes more adaptation than Zach thought necessary. As for Devil's Pool, I was totally turned off by all of the angle issues. I guess it would be good for a rare situation, but that is the only time. In conclusion, Victoria itself was not too bad, but I do not feel like I learned something special.
Lucas • Austria • 1/4/2013
This is an extremely awesome control. In my mind, it isn't really difficult to learn.
And I like his humor.

Immediately knowing that Zach made this, I had to get it. So here's my review:
Victoria: The move alone I would pay 7$ for. It's amazing, and has baffled every spectator I've performed it to. Zach does put this under intermediate, but it's surprisingly very simple! 9.5/10
Devil's Pool Phase One: Amazing, but it is tricky to perform in front of more than one person because of the angles required to perform. Having prior knowledge to the Victoria move itself, this is the simplest thing in the world. Very visual! I like it! 8.5/10
Devil's Pool Phase Two: This is my least favorite of the three phases in Devil's Pool. Although it is still awesome and "hands on", it is often flashed to the audience, unless you are very balanced and have big hands. I do not, therefore, I leave this phase out of my routine. But it's fun to do, and its still great so I'll give it an 8/10.
Devil's Pool Phase Three: This phase is COMPLETELY AWESOME. Definitely my favorite of the three phases! it's VERY visual, and requires interaction of a spectator. Simply amazing, easy, and quick. Timing is important, but practice is what does this one justice. Again, I would pay more than 7$ dollars for this. 9/10
Quality: It's Zach. What do you expect? 10/10
Teaching. Zach Mueller is teaching this, so you know this is gonna be very well explained. 10/10
Entertainment: It's not always fun learning a new card trick, but this is fun to practice, and with Zach's humor, the hour passes in a breeze. 10.5/10
Overall: This effect is definetely underpriced! Great to do in front of audiences surrounding you! Very mind-boggling, and fools the spectator every time. What are you waiting for? Get this now! I promise you won't be bummed! OVERALL SCORE: 10/10
Dylan Ryan • Ireland • 12/28/2012
Awesome control, awesome flourish, awesome teaching. That pretty much sums up this download. If you want a practical control then look no further.
Wes • Ceres, Ca • 12/28/2012
Awesome control; much easier than a classic cascade! Great instruction. Thanks again for another home run!
Bartosz • Wisconsin • 12/27/2012
This control is great. The flourish is very smooth, and I enjoyed watching the video. Zach is awesome at teaching this and he explains were he got the name and stuff. The move is kind of hard, but anyone who has patience can do it. There are bloopers at the end and I couldn't stop laughing. You should buy it.
Elle • California • 12/22/2012
Zach, this control is really awesome. Keep doing what you do.
Andreas • Denmark • 12/20/2012
I really like this control because I can actually do it - as opposed to the classic cascade control. So this is something I will be using in all of my tricks! It has great instruction as with all his other releases! :)
Philip Alexander • U.K. • 12/20/2012
Zach puts loads of work into his downloads, so when they come, you can expect it to be quality. This is no exception. The actual control is pretty simple and easy to do in my opinion. Great work again Zach, as always. Get it! Can't wait to see what Zach puts out next!
Ned F. • California • 12/17/2012
I like this control but it's just not original.
Do • Vienna • 12/15/2012
Victoria is really really cool and useful effect! Zach has done a great job! I have seen the teaser "Bloopers: Victoria" This is so funny! I love your effects! :) Keep doing some awesome videos! ;)
Abraham Leija • Texas • 12/15/2012
This is a really great card control that is taught in really nice detail. The download starts by Zach saying welcome and gives an overview of Victoria. Then he moves on to explaining the move and I actually got it the first time so that's good. Then he finally moves on to Devils Pool, a great routine that you can check out at Zach's YouTube channel. Overall a great download!
Jahid • London • 12/13/2012
Zach puts so much work and care into his products and teaches in great detail. Definitely the best artist on the Wire.
Nic Varner • USA • 12/13/2012
Great trick but a little knacky!
Hunter • USA • 12/12/2012
I knew from the start this was going to be unoriginal. I LOVE Marbles and I thought Fontaine was good, but this is just kind of untasteful. He could have spent 2 minutes online to see if this was original and found that it wasn't. Yes, we come up with moves independently, but they are not original. Why t11 let him put this out is beyond me.
Siddharth • India • 12/12/2012
The concept behind this effect is not new and I also believe that this is a move that many magicians have messed around with and are familiar with. However, I am a big fan of the cascade control and so I will be sure to use Victoria!
Joesph Dakota • Boston, MA • 12/12/2012
Ok, so this is pretty good when it comes to explanations and the quality of the film. But in terms of originality, like many others on here have said, it isn't up there. This is a move I'm sure many magicians have messed around with (including myself) and to see it on sale for that high of a price just doesn't cut it. Sorry Zach, but this wasn't your best. Marbles is great though!
Somone • USA • 12/11/2012
Not original. I've seen many different effects like this. I always like your effects but this was disappointing.
Miquel Roman • Barcelona, Spain • 12/11/2012
Ok, so this is the first time I've posted a review of a move. But this time I really think Mr. Zach Mueller deserves it, so I'm gonna share my opinion about this with the entire community. (I will only talk about the control by the way)
I watched this move some time ago and I was practicing about 1 or 2 months. The move is absolutely EFFECTIVE, SIMPLE and CRAZY. But the strongest point for me stands on it's ELEGANCE. The way he uses the dribble forming a cascade while the card is controlled make this moves one of my favourite controls.
We, as Magicians, are always trying to find original ideas and tools which can push forward ourselves to a new next level. Here, you have one.
Benjam • Melbourne, Australia • 12/10/2012
I have been a massive fan of the original cascade control, so I was quite dubious coming into this download. But once again, Zach has done a wonderful job!
I was very happy with his method for achieving this effect, and his flourishy addition to a classic move makes me feel like Victoria will replace the cascade control in my performances.
Yes, it is a little knacky, like a lot of Zach's downloads, but just like everything else, all it takes is a little commitment and patience. I've gotten the move down with the help of his detailed, thorough explanation. (and not to mention full of the bad jokes, which we have come to love)
As for Devil's Pool (pretentious, yes), I think its a nice little three phase trick which I can imagine performing for real people - so thumbs up for that too.
All in all, Zach has done a great job with this sleight and this download, and I feel that Victoria is definitely different from the classic cascade control, and thus, is worthy of it's download.
Always looking forward to Zach's next download. Keep it up!
Bee • USA • 12/10/2012
This is my favorite of Zach's releases. It may not be as creative as Marbles or as groundbreaking as Fontaine, but it is his most practical and I will definitely use this.
Tommy • Vietnam • 12/9/2012
WTF, the effect looks so great. Good job, Zach.
Simon H. • Boston • 12/9/2012
Once again, Zach does it again. One of the most talented, creative new minds in magic.
Victoria joins Fontaine and Splicer as another outstanding, well-produced, practical creations - and it's worth every cent. Highly recommended.
Bryce Huckabay • California • 12/8/2012
Ok... Zach never ever disappoints me, so I know this time it would be good, and trying to get Victoria for a while, I'm glad I bought this. This is my review of Victoria.
Victoria: Victoria is a card control that is variation on the Cascade Control with the waterfall flourish. Victoria is definitely something that is a keeper, and it's one of my favorite controls. A few people are saying that it's not that original as Fontaine, well, the Fontaine move wasn't original, but the other stuff was. And Marbles, that was original, but didn't use original methods, well, I'm dumb, actually it did, but Victoria IS original, he said it's a variation and that it's uses a few different methods from other things. It's a perfect thing for move monkeys who wanna break into new things. This is a perfect control and I give it a 9/10.
Difficulty for Victoria: This is definitely something that you should practice because it is a little knacky and a little bit hard to grasp, but every single one of Zach's tricks are knacky, so you're gonna be expecting it. 8/10.
Devil's Pool: Devil's Pool is a 3-phase effect that utilizes Victoria and is just really cool looking. I think these phases are really awesome because they in the spectators hand's in every single phase, and I think magic in another person's hands really helps you interact with people on a deeper, personal level, which I love in magic. I give it a 10/10.
Difficulty for Devil's Pool: This 3-phase effect is pretty easy if you have Victoria down, because if you have Victoria mastered, the rest is a breeze. 9/10.
Performance for Victoria: The only performances on the download are quick and simple, so you get a little taste so you can get it into your brain. There are more performances on the trailer and a few from other videos on YouTube that he posted on his channel. And the performances are great, it's done from multiple angles so you can get a lot more perspectives, so I give it a 9/10.
Performances for Devil's Pool: There are a few performances for this on the trailer and 3 performances on the download. Although it is done from only one angle, and I would have liked to see a few more so I could've gotten a little more of an idea of what the angles for this trick were, but he does go over the angles in the download, so you don't really need them that much, so I give it an 8/10.
Teaching: Why do I even need to talk about this part? Duh! It's detailed instruction! It's BALLA! 10/10.
Price: For what you're getting in the download, this is a pretty good price, because you're getting, HD video, tips, subtletys, detailed instruction, bad puns and more! Did I seriously add bad puns? Wow. 9/10.
Quality: 1080p HD Quality, Canon 5 DMark II camera, duh. 9/10.
Overall: This is basically an awesome download overall, and it's one of Zach's most underrated one's too. It's a bit knacky, but once you practice it, you can add your own little spins and twists you want to it. That's what I love about Zach's stuff, you can add your own stuff to it. This is really awesome, and I give it a 10/10.
To the people who gave this download like 1 or 2 stars, you obviously don't have a good taste in magic.
Crow • Woodbury • 12/8/2012
I feel like I should like the effect more than I really do. It isn't that original compared to "Marbles" or "Fontaine" so I was dissapointed to see the price of it when so little actually comes, but as always I will hope to see more from Zach.
Arsh Shah • Chicago, IL • 12/8/2012
Too fresh. This is a great update to the Cascade Control, and you've created a delicious alternative. Mad props bro. I'm sure I'll be using this all day! Easy to learn, and I got it down in about 2-3 hours. :D Keep creating, never stop man.
Fritz Charleston • Denton, TX • 12/8/2012
Overall, another solid release by Zach Mueller.
The audio and video are spot on, as per usual. However (and this is my only gripe with the video) the wide angle used throughout makes Zachs right thumb become this massive, highly distracting mutation.
The routine portion of the video is described quite well and can be used as is, but also and obviously, leaves plenty of room for your own twists. The routine is almost like a bonus as the main draw here is the sleight being used. Does have a really cool story behind it, though.
As for the teaching of the sleight, this is both the main reason to purchase the effect as well as the one thing that will leave you wanting more. To explain: Although the sleight is covered quite well, a few more angles of the move in action would have been a huge boon as the wide angle makes spacial relations really difficult to grasp.
The grip IS explained well, but being limited to (mostly) one view really makes the explanation fall flat. The angle does shift a few times, but not in what I would consider key moments. Zach even mentions this briefly, commenting that the wide overhead may detract from the view of his hands.
With all of that said, I really have no complaints and I am happy to have purchased this effect. The camera angle in regards to the grip are admittedly less important with this move, as it is fairly simple.
The explanations, in spite of what I have just written, are superb, and for those who aren't a fan of Zach's comedic stylings, this video will cater to you quite well. I actually found it to be rather dry in comparison to Zach's other releases. Not to say it was boring, I really did enjoy the release and found myself wondering where the hour had gone.
To the effect itself: it's fantastic, simple, and not in the slightest is it suspect. It would be very hard to imagine someone thinking of the "dribble" as a move, particularly if you're a bit of a fidgeter with the deck.
Four stars, glad I got it, will certainly buy future releases. Zach has yet to disappoint.
Ben • London • 12/8/2012
Wow this is awesome - definitely worth your money! :D
Apple • California • 12/8/2012
One of the effects in Victoria, I have seen the performance of Dan and Dave Buck. It' called the Miller Casade Control. But your 3 effects are just awesome! Keep going! :)
Thien Huynh • Sydney Australia • 12/8/2012
Well done Zach! You've done it again. Very well produced and well instructed. Easy to follow. Also the effect that comes along with Victoria called "Devil's Pool" will get amazing reactions from laymen -especially the second phase with the impossible penetration of the card through hand.
Jakub • Nitra, SLOVAKIA • 12/8/2012
I think this is awesome and it's knacky. All of Zach's tricks are knacky :D
