Why the normal stock/finish?

There seem to be a ton of complaints about the stock and finish on the Guardians. They really look like gorgeous cards, but the number of complaints I've seen about clumping and warping and such are putting me off getting them, even for curiosity's sake. I hate to keep dragging E into everything, but the idea of paying Ghost prices for a deck of cards that doesn't have Ghost stock and finish seems a little absurd to me, especially when I could buy a deck of Masters for a dollar less and still enjoy the comforts of a UV500 finish and casino-grade stock. Did the T11 team consider other stock/finish options? It just seems that this new deck isn't worth the paper it's printed on, if you catch my drift. Magicians are much harder on cards than most people, and it really does help out to have those features on a deck that's marketed as being specifically geared toward magicians. If the price were dropped or the finish and stock were upgraded, I'd seriously consider buying them, but until then I'm going to have an even harder time justifying that purchase to myself than spending the extra money on E decks.

Why do people buy into that UV500 finish and casino-grade stock BS. Its just to make it sound better, theres nothing better about the damn cards... Ellusionist over hypes everything to make it sound better and you just THINK its better due to the placebo effect.

No they don't, thats just HYPE AND PLACEBO EFFECT, I'm being serious, you just THINK there better because they SAY there so much better. Im not trying to start a flame, just stating a fact.

Oh and in my opinion Ellusionist sucks a LOT.

Personally I can see and feel a great deal of difference in both thickness and finish. If you ever handled one of their decks you would realize that the card stock is indeed much thicker than normal. So with that taken into consideration, not all of it can be hype...

On another note, with you being so skeptical...I bet alot of your spectators are the same way towards you sometimes and you don't understand why...

Well actually the finishes were different at one point, but were recently changed to be identical and consumers weren't told differently until afterwards...

Yes, the E decks UV thing is better quality. If you felt them verses normal bikes or other cards, you would know. They really do feel different. They last longer than normal decks too. I thought E sucked too. I kinda still do because their prices and shipping costs are way too high, but I like their cards. If you think that they are different because of hype and placebo effects, I think that's really stupid. You have no proof. We do, deal with it.

Why don't we just leave it be, and leave it to the performers to decide which decks are the best for them?

There really is no point to bickering about which site has the best cards or the lowest prices. Just do what you would normally do when time comes to order what you need. No one here is going to judge you on that.

Isn't that what Theory 11 stands for? Unity? I think so.

Have you ever owned a deck of E cards? If so, go grab them, along with a deck of regular bikes. Now, lay them down on a table. Notice how the E deck is noticeably taller than the regular bikes? Ever wonder why that is? That would be the casino stock they're printed on. That's right, it's thicker, causing it to last longer. If the placebo effect has damaged my eyesight to the point where I believe two decks are two different thicknesses when they are not. . . I just don't know what to tell you.

Now, try fanning and riffle shuffling both decks about 80 times. Notice how the regular bikes show the wear much faster than the E deck? That would in fact be the stock and finish. Whether you like it or not, those are the facts. I have, in fact, tested out just about every E deck, head-to-head, with a pack of bikes in this fashion, and every time the E deck wins.

I've owned every E deck, as well as just about every other deck that's easy to come by. . . Bikes, Mavericks, Aviators, dollar-store no-names, etc., and I know from personal performance experience how each deck performs in real-life, performance situations from using each deck repeatedly over a space of time. The placebo effect has nothing to do with it. . . just cold, hard trial and error. Do not insult my intelligence when you obviously do not know what you're talking about.

If you've never owned a deck of E cards, you have nothing on which to base your argument, and therefore need to keep your abrasive, disrespectful comments to yourself. I'm not about to take this kind of criticism off a potty-mouth who does not bother to use correct grammar in his posts. This is exactly the kind of garbage posting that brings forums down. I guess if you want to be one of those people that perpetuates this kind of juvenile behavior, go right ahead. I for one, will not.

okay...me and a friend did a test on this...

we had 5 decks

masters
blacktiger
regular bike
tally-hos
bees

then i went out of the room, i was blindfolded, then i was led back in...i had to identify each deck on 2 levels...feel and smell......

the funny thing is i was able to distinguish all the decks on both levels....there are differences in the decks....

PS all of the decks were brand new...

Stfu Do you even own a casino deck. I have like 15 and none of them are that thick and bad. hes talking about UV 500 the crappy E FINISH.

WHAT are you saying anti E post bring the forum down. This website was not made for you E people to come here. You guy have your own forum so just stay there.

Most of the good people don't even go to this site because all of you E people bringing you E talk about your E cards and E crap that only E people talk about because only you E people were hypnotized that your E products are the best and keep whineing for you E finish and you E stock and the black frints just like E cards and fEEl crapE and look uglE...and btw your E cards suck Eballs.

Seriously now. The maturity of this thread is taking a serious nose dive. Did ANYONE even read my response here on this very thread?

There is truly no reason to be arguing about which deck/finish is better! Just use what you normal would use, and there simply should not be any static between two different forum members soley on the fact that they use Masters over Gaurdians or vice versa. It's just rediculous to be that over zealous.

Can we just bring it together and talk about something constructive? Or better yet, help some of the newer members that need to hear/see more positive things on this forum.

Cool down man! Take a breather!
