What's the name of this trick?

Okay, so as i was searching the attic for almost no reason at all, when i find this deck of cards that all had one perfectly round hole near the middle of the cards. I ask my dad where he got them and he responds that he doesn't remember. He hands them to me and when i looked at the hole to see through all the cards, i see that one of them is clearly visible. I used a pencil to push it out and it was the joker. I found out that the only way to lose the joker in the deck was to put him face up while all the other cards were face down. I've never heard or seen a deck like this one and i just wanted to know if this certain deck has been used for a magic trick or if there are decks similar to this one. Any information will help.

P.S. i'll shortly take a picture of them, not right now, kinda busy (plus i can't find them at the moment!).

Hmm...

A picture is a good idea, although I doubt it will help that much. There are a few applications of having a deck like this that I can think of, but none that I have heard of in the past.

Sorry I can't be of much help at this moment, maybe someone else knows something.

Best of luck,
Ben

some casinos prefer to punch holes in the cards a joker might have been face up while they punched it

Ah, this is what i was worried about. post about one topic, then somebody says that it's probably something completly different, then everybody else starts talking about the other thing and then the thread becomes useless to the person that posted it in the first place. :(

What else do you expect when you've given so little information?

You haven't even posted a picture.

From the description it does sound like a cancelled deck so it's hardly surprising that people will discuss this topic.
