*ehkehum...*

okay, here goes,

Playing cards all mean and handle differently to different people, so there is no *best* deck out there as some posters after me will propably point out. There certainly are better quality cards - Bicycle Masters, for one, and although they are more expensive, they are also longer lasting.

If i'm not mistaken, Dan and Dave use Tally Ho's and Alladins, Arrco's and someties exclusive Jerry Nuggets. You will probably not be able to get you hands on Nugget's (unless you perform at macdonald's...ta dum, chiing!) and so will have to opt for the other ones. You are more than welcome to imitate Dan and Dave in the style of cards they use, but there are no guarantees that they will work as well for you as they do for him. Them.

Size of your hands, where you live, how vigourously you use them, these and amany more factor in towhich cards to buy. So there is no straight answer, as we tirelessly tell anyone who wishes to know

"what are the best tricks" or "which deck is better" and so on.

Thereby, I suggest you go to dananddave.com, and browse through their store, they sell 6 different decks there and they give you a lowdown on how they perform in their hands. Their hands, and not yours.

Ive said it once, and I'll say it again, decks are different. People are different. Buy a bunch of assorted decks and try them out for a while, search the internet for decks for flourishing (or read d&d's store tips) and finally come to a conclusion.

May the Luck be with you,
-Gus.

I agreed with Gustavo Guimaraes, because we all have different perspectives on deck. The best way for you to find one is to experiment it. My best advice for you is to practise with Bicycles or Tally Ho Circle Back.

why do u need the best cards for?
jw
if u like flourishing get a few tally ho decks, and start with one, when that deck stops flowing that nice switch to another, then when that starts wearing down you can go back to the first deck and it'll work pretty well (after some rest)

I would stick to good ol' blue circle back tallys (my favorite). They are durable for flourishing, yet smooth for magic. They last longer than most custom decks and they feel great.

It all depends on what you're using them for. I believe Tallys are good cards to start with. experiment with every deck you can get your hands on.

Definitely just get regular bicycle decks...

they are cheap and almost in every store....

but if you really want something good, tally-hos I've heard are good... never tried them but the best cards are thin and stiff.... and tally's are thin...

but the downside is that you have to order them so it's more expensive than bicycles.

So I now use bicycle... since I have seen through the BS of 'custom' decks

I would recommend trying out a few different decks, but if you want cheap and very good quality then have a look around on eBay for casino decks. 52-and-Jokers is a good shop to start with. Generally, these are Bee, Aristocrat or Gemaco cards, and (in my opinion), are better quality than Bicycle, while often being cheaper. You just need to look out for the ones that aren't cancelled (which is when the casino drills a hole through them, clips the corner or marks them in some other way to stop them being switched back into a game).

Well yeah pretty much the general consensus - there's no consensus! There's no universally accepted "Best" playing cards. There are so many different types ranging from thick to thin, and it all depends on what you prefer. So just buy one or two of the ones you want to try out, have a look at some reviews from the reviews forum to see which ones you might want to try out, and decide for yourself, it's kinda like asking us what sized shirt would fit you.

Either Split Spades Lions or the regular Tally's do well for flourishes..But it all depends on your personal handling etc to make the things work..

My humor is in a category of it's own. It's a bit obscure at times ;)

Glad you enjoyed it:p

everything important already said.

Would like to mention that I absolutly LOVE Aladdins 1001 Non-Air Cushion finished Decks. They work unbelievably great for me with Flourishing....Quality is top notch, they last longer than other decks, and they are pretty stiff yet thin. (dont like wynns anymore..I dunno why...perhaps the thickness of them is one of the many reasons..)

They are great for Magic as well, but for Magic I prefer Tally Ho´s. Design is great (circle backs), Quality is even better, they handle beautifully and last a lot longer than normal Bikes.

I can´t discribe it properly, but I dont like to use them for Flourishing. It just doesn´t appeal to me in the first place but also...I dunno...I just can´t do it with them ^^ Flourishing with Tally Ho Circles is like...Magic with Jerrys Nugget´s.

It has already been said several times, but, it all depends on what your personal preference is. I like using a thinker card stock for flourishes, but not so much for tricks. I also like the cards to stay smooth. If you're going for durability and smoothness I would recommend DB Lions. They last a long time. I had beat the crap out of a pack for a long time and put it down. I came back a month later and it still is better than my Bicycle deck I had opened 2 days prior.

A little advice though. If you are doing tricks that require bends in them then Tally's tend to be able to bend back easier (because they are more flexible) than a Bicycle deck will. Bicycles like to keep a crease better than Tallys. But if you are doing a trick where you need that bend to stay there then Bicycles may be the better one to choose. Just something to consider.

"Best" is pretty subjective, but you can't go wrong with Bicycle Leagues and White Bordered Bees.

...and - of course - Brown Wynns and White Centurions. ;)
