Hey guys,
I just had an interesting thought just now. As you will know, Erdnase is difficult enough to read as it is due to the general syntax within, the odd use of an archaic term, and the general formality of the tone. It's quite a task even for me, as a native speaker of English, and whilst I can understand it perfectly, I do have to concentrate, and the effect is something akin to driving through heavy fog.
So I was talking to a magician friend recently whose first language is not English. And hence my question - are non-native English speakers, essentially screwed? I mean, his English is pretty good by any standard, he's proficient and fluent, but he has trouble. My mum would have trouble despite living in Australia for about 16 years. Never mind the guys for whom English truly is a second language. Is Erdnase available in other languages?
If I get bored, I could read it in French to practice.
Just out of curiosity.
Thanks
