learn from the best, i suggest. in my opinion, simon and darwin is just good but still not the best.

jason england 1 on 1 series here or the foundation.

richard turner, the cheat

steve forte, gambling protection

fast company

some george joseph dvds

or even brian tudor cardsharp.

WEll i think Darwin Ortiz but i would go with someone else, FErnando Keops(awesome!!!), Jason England, or Richard Turner.

Simon Lovell's video gives a brief explanation about the moves, and good as a video supplement to books.

Ortiz's video is not intended as an explanation video at all. You see the moves done well and thats it. Its an exposure video for the gambling market, not a teaching one. Richard Turner's video is even better than it from a teaching point of view, his later video are teaching vids rather than exposures.

I second Jason England's videos. Best way to start.

I remember reading somewhere that Ortiz gets through 5,000 decks a year, and practices 6 hours a day, considering all of that, he doesnt seem too good, .... however, far, far better than Simon Lovell, who just seems to have a knowledge of these things, rather than the ability to DO them.

Simon Lovell has or had a Broadway show on Gambling for awhile. Darwin Ortiz is/was known as one of the authorities on Card Cheating. He may not perform anymore now days, but you can bet he is way better than "good".

unless you've had a lot of experience, you can't really learn from Steve Forte's GPS. it just shows them in slow-mo, and doesn't go over a detailed explanation about finger positionings and such.
that's the VHS version anyway, i'm not sure about the new DVDs.

Obviously i don't think he's poor, i meant in comparison to other people his style lacks a little something, his center deal is painful he doesnt even try to cover up the break, but definitely he's a better choice than Simon Lovell, who should really just stick to magic, and weirding people out, rather than try to be taken seriously about these things.
