In my opinion, the Jerry’s Nuggets decks, which were used in Jerry's Nuggets Casino, have ordinary and regular stock, finish, and feel. They are rare because they are not being printed anymore -- that's what makes them special.

It’s the same reason why people like the Black Ghost Deck, which has a different design than the Ghost Deck, but has the same finish/stock, et al. There were only 5,000 Black Ghosts printed, and, as a result, everyone wants them, but not everyone can have them, causing them to be sold for hundreds of dollars on the internet.

The same logic applies to Jerry's Nugget, as the feeling of holding a deck of cards in your hands that not many people have held -- that experience is unfathomable.

Furthermore, Dan and Dave Buck use them, which makes the Nuggets uber-cool. :D

Cheers,
JTM

Jerry's Nuggets are out-of-print but back when they were being made were easily found and had nothing special. When they went out of print they became rare just as any other out of print cards do. The reason they go for so much now a days is helped by the popularity garnered from their use by Dan and Dave. Obviously not everyone buying a deck of Jerry's Nuggets are because of Dan and Dave, but there does seem to be a trend. Regardless, Dan and Dave got thier supply of Jerry's Nuggets from Chris Kenner who bought up a whole bunch when they first went out of print. Chris Kenner and Dan and Dave Buck share a good relationship and hence Chris Kenner gave them the decks because they deserve them. The stock is different from normal Bicycles, just as most cards differ, as I do not have a deck of my own I cannot say specifics but I ahve heard they are stiffer than most decks and are hence useful for flourishing.

Cards are like wine, they get better when they get older( I wish humans were like that ): )
Jerry's are out of print and they became good for flourishing. People who have a lot of them either bought most of them from E-bay or bought them before they became out-of-print. (They were like a dollar per deck back then...)
Plus the back designs look awesome.

You neglected the point that they were made on a special stock by unique rollers , that don't exist anymore , therefore can never be reproduced so the price is never likely to go down.

Hey man,

Are you sure about all this? For what i know(and the Bucks stated this themselves), Asher made them popular back in the day with his notes.....
And of course on the Stud...

About where they got em, if im correct they got a few packs just as everyone back in the day when they where just cards....they still are....you know what i mean;)

Cheers,
Aron

I remember Dominique Duvivier having a load of them Jerries... and something about Lee Asher dating his daughter just to get her father's cards...

Anyway, it's the people who want it that make Jerries look special.

1. they arnt printed anynmore, so they are a collectors item
2. d+d use them so they are extra special
3. they are thinner, but are stiff as a board, good for flourishing
4. they get better over time
