Why worry yourself about cards?

People should be thinking about what they can do with cards, not what cards you have.

This is a weird thread. Ellusionist's cards have a different stock and finish and none feel like the guardians. Why don't you just buy guardians or centurions. A cheap deck of cards that feels like guardians to me are Tally-Ho.

Hi Slicke,

The playing cards produced by Ellusionist have a special finish called UV500 Air-Flow, as well as being printed on a thicker casino grade stock. Many people like the way Ellusionist cards handle, but they have also received much criticism because of their "phone book" thickness. Because of these two unique features, they handle much differently than the cards produced here at Theory 11. As previously mentioned, the Guardians could easily be compared to Tally-Ho's, and even a regular deck of Bicycle playing cards (difference being it lasts longer).

Does anybody know of any cards that handle similarly to the first edition Split-Spades (not Lions)?

I loved how thin they were, so much fun to spring!

Can't help you with the finish, but Stud Playing Cards from Walgreens have a very thing stock. They're my favorite deck because of that.

To me, both Shadow Masters and Guardians feel thicker than regular bikes. Those two decks feel very similar to me.

Guardians are definitely thicker than regular bikes. There are some reviews on Amazon and what not where people actually complained that they are two thick.

Guardians are the coolest looking of any deck in my opinion.

I second that. Studs aint too flimsy like SS lions. ive had mine for a week now, and ive been literally murdering it with Lepauls and Springs. its still pretty snappy and springy and all that jazz. Studs are the way to go. (talking about the NEW studs, not old ones)

They were both made by the same brand.
David Blaines cards are all Tally-Ho.

I like the Guardians and the Centurions VERY much. I have never been into the price of Ellusionist's decks, and even if I could afford them, the back designs are NOT as good as T11s.
