Greatest Card Mechanic?

I have seen numerous videos of Card Mechanics, (Steve Forte, Darwin Ortiz, Ricky Jay, Richard Turner etc...) who are all introduced on as the best in the world, obviously they are all very talented people but i was just curious to see who you think it the best in the world and why.

Well, it's easy to forget who influenced every last one of those named people - whilst he might not be as technically accurate as some of them or if he performed his material to perfection (but to be honest, will we ever know if this is true?), S.W Erdnase is a major contender, surely?

Ahh of course, i am still amazed by the trick where he changes a playing card to a box of matches, and i stil dont want to know how its done, truly amazing

we never know who the greatest is. because he is probably playing cards right now ripping people off

Also surprised no-one has mentioned Rene Lavand. Simply inhuman the stuff he pulls off.

ahh, i'd seen him before but didn't know his name, i must admit, seriously impressive deserves much more attention than he has.
