What cards are these?

Hey guys,
I just have a quick question and wasn't exactly sure where to post it.
I tried searching through google, but arrived at nothing.

Has anyone ever seen these cards before?
The box says "54 Initial" as you can see in the pics.

They look pretty cool, and the edges of the cards are gold edged.
Made in 1907.
I was thinking about using them for patter in a card trick, or I might just take some fanning powder to them and mess around with them for awhile.
Any help is appreciated.

You should definitely not use them or take fanning powder to them. Seal them in a plastic bag and handle them with gloves.

lol, they're not about to break apart.
The backs look fancy and when you take the deck in your hands and show the sides, you see the shine of the gold. Very cool.

I have another deck that has similar casing as this one, only on the backs it says "texaco".
"The Texas Company USA Petroleum Products".
Sold at a gas station maybe?

On the jokers, it says "There is a Texaco lubricant for every purpose".
Hah.
I'll post pics later.

Where's Jason England when you need him?

Here are the pics of the other deck.
The jokers make me laugh.

Danny,

The Initial deck was produced sometime between 1912 and 1920, when the Initial brand was phased out.

The brand was begun in 1907, but the Ace of Spades you have wasn't produced until 1912 (it's the second Ace of Spades for that brand), that's how we can be so accurate with the date.

It would probably bring $15 - 50 dollars on eBay if the deck is complete and has no major flaws (like tears or creases), and especially if both Jokers are present.

Thanks Jason!
I was afraid I'd never hear of this thread again.
I have all jokers and there are no tears in the cards.
Thanks again for the info!
