I've been looking to get into rubberband magic lately. Can someone give me a few tips on where to start? Also, is Flush by John Stessel worth it? Thanks!

The Magic Cafe has some good threads on the subject. I'm in a bit of a hurry right now, but some dvds that come to mind are Extreme Rubberband Magic and Jumper, both of which are by Joe Rindfleisch. I've heard good things about Dan Harlan's dvds on rubberband magic, but Crazy Man's Handcuffs is my go to rubberband trick, which you HAVE to learn. It blows peoples minds, and it's actually the trick that got me into magic. Marcus Eddie has some great stuff on Ellusionist and Theory11, too. Flush looks ok, but in my opinion, Link by Nabil Murday is still the best. Unfortunately, it's sold out everywhere. Touch by Hanson Chein is also a dvd (on Ellusionist) that I highly recommend.

Dan Harlan has some great DVDs on rubberband work.

Touch by Hanson Chien is great, those effects will take a bit of work to get down but they are worth it.

Banding Around by Russell Leeds, has very practical real world effects on there and makes it easy to come up with your own routines once you learn the basics.

But always start with Crazy Man's Handcuffs, Nabil Murday's LINK is probably the best place to start if you can find it.

Flush on Blue Crown is gimmicked, but will start you off, and I'm sure you'll be able to use it the rest of your magical career. Also, you can start right away impressing people, and having people interested in what you're going to do next.

Crazy Man Handcuffs, Missing Link, and Stairway are the three rubberband tricks I perform the most. They are all great effects. I would start with learning Stairway. Somewhat easy to learn and people really like it.

lately ive been doing my "routine"
starting with the basic rubber band effect where the rubber band jumps from the pointer and middle finger to the ring and pinkey
then i do crazy mans handcuffs, in my hands then the band wrapped on their hands. i then like to do some kind of linking rubber bands (marcus eddie has a nice on on five) then i do some stuff from touch from hanson chien. check out some Joe Rindfleisch stuff like JUMPER and i think he has a dvd with world greatest magic (L&L publishing) which has lots of rubber band stuff!
