I really like Olivier Macia... He's a french magician ! There is a lot of chance that you have never heard about him. It's completely different than what Jason England does but he's really good too. Go see his DVD Control Freak or Atomik Revelation. (Very clever tricks and techniques). He's the magician having the biggest hands I've never seen... so lucky. His magic tastes french... so fresh to what we can see over the English way to make tricks. Not better, not worse but different. I really like his (Trak Production, Repeat Card to Pocket and Inexplicable Card). BTW: In his DVD Atomik Revelation, just before explaning the Inexplicable Card, he says in french (I'm no sure if I'll tell you guys how to do it because it's too good...) He is a no table magician and I like that. I like the way he sees magic and creates routines. A must see !!!

I like Lennart Green and Dani Daortiz. I love Dan and Dave though too :)

ps. This is a thread topic that comes up a lot so be prepared. Some of the forum members get annoyed.

I'm going to be predictable and say Dai Vernon. Anything I do in magic owes a debt to his work and ideas.

If we're talking about living magicians, though, Dani Da Ortiz and Lennart Green are definitely up there. Probably Ricky Jay should get a mention too.

Overall I would have to say Lee Asher. His flashier effects really fit my style and his more subtle sleights are just so clever!

For gambling magic I will have to agree that Jason England is hard to beat. Not that there are not a lot of other great gambling gurus still around but his teaching always seemed more clear to me.
