Cards-What to use

I'm sick and tired of people giving false info and not knowing what there talking about. I'm sure lots of you are too...Expecialy the people who listed to this false info...not saying I did.

So in this thread I'm going to go over some of the most popular Decks and Go over them and say what there good for to the best of my knowledge into three types of sections.

Remember this is opinonated but I'm sure lots of people will agree.

1. Magic: Spreads nice and is some what slippery making it able to do almost all sleights.

2.Cardisrty: Doesnt have to fan. Stays together well for cuts sometimes kinda clump like sometimes some times VERY clump like.

3. XCM: Fan Well. Spread Well. Staying together Well for cuts.

4.Multi Purpose: Works well for everything. If its good for magic its 99% of the time good for Everything els.

Bicylcle: Magic/Multi Purpose.
Easy to mark cards. gets any job done. Most familiar back design for laymen everywhere.

Tally-Ho:XCM/Cardisrty/Multi Purpose
Favorited by many manipulators and magicians. Basicly bicycle but fan, look, and feel better.

Shell back hoyle:Muti purpose
Basicly bicycle FEW differeces in finish. May look gimmicked because they look so much like bikes and laymen know that.

Bee: Multi Purpose
Its good for faninng and spreads. favorite deck for gamblers. Make second middle and bottom deals easy.Has no border so it may be hard for some magic sleights but it has a borded version so its not a big issue. When you break them in they are softer.
Also includes

WPT
David blaine Bee split spades
Most Bee casino cards

If It has a circular green sticker on it....Don't buy it it sucks...well it is good for cardisty but not magic.

Aviator:Cardistry/Magic
Plain design but don't let that bother you. Its thick for all of you people who like thick cards. not exactly slippery but its slippery enough to get the magic job done.LAST VERY LONG.They feel about the same all the time.

Alladins:Cardistry/Multi Purpose
Thick long lasting cards that can get almost any job done. Very nice back design.Dont Fan well.

Studs:Multi purpose
Very thin.(old ones are thinner) You may herd that the old ones are like tally- ho but that info In my opinion is Absolutely false. They fan well but the front inst very good for fanning because of the odd indecies. There nice cards.

1st ed Guardians:Cardisty
Don't fan. Clump. Stay together for cuts Very well.

2nd ed Guardian:Multi purpose
Back design is nice. Borders are 1 milimeter thicker than bikes.Quality wise are the same as bikes but are a TINY bit thicker than bikes.

Squeezers:Multi Purpose
If your allergic to fanning powder buy this deck. It feels like a tally ho deck with fanning powder on it BUT IT DOESNT HAVE POWDER ON IT! Its an obvious one way design so you decide what your going to do with this deck.

Steamboat:Cardistry
It fans but has no air cusions No border. another great gambling deck. GREAT FOR CUTS. They don't clumpp but they do hold together for cuts. One of my favorite cardistry decks.

Texan Palmettos:Cardistry/XCM
No border. Thick. for all you E fans its as thick as shadow masters if not thicker. These Cards are THE BEST deck for fanning. If you know a deck that can fan better please pm me so I can slap you in the face. They hold together nicely. Great fir cuts but do not clump. They'll last forever if you take care of them

Absolut vodka:Cardistry
They hold together nice. They stay together for cuts. I don't want to say they clump. VERY VERY THIN. about half as thick as a Palmetto deck. VERY VERY NICE CARDS. If you use a one way design for magic this is the one way design for you because its VERY easy to see but only if your looking for it.

Golden nuggets:CARDISTRY
stiff deck of cards. Hold together nice. Great thin stock. SMOOTH finish but it does have air cusion but barely visable air cussion. they do not fan well at all...but anything is possible with powder

Jerry's nuggets:CARDISTRY
Basicly Golden nugget cards but stiffer.A tiny bit Stiffer. just like golden nuggets THESE ARE NOT FOR MAGIC.There very nice looking but they kinda look gimmicked.I don't have one but I herd there like goldens (which I do have) from people I KNOW who have them and I got all of this info from them.NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING like E decks.

Carti Mundi Ace:Cardistry
Stay together for cut VERY WELL. STIFF AS WOOD. They don't fan well but do have a finish.Very awkward deck of cards. I don't think Chuck Norris can Spring these.

Vegas:Cardisrty
Not a very good deck of cards in my opinion, but they are geting a bit more popular. There THICK. it has a cusion finish, but its really bad. Hold together well for cuts. Clumpy clumpy clumpy.

If you want Info on E decks In order not to get on anyones nerves your going to have to try them for your selves but know that there Nothing like what brand there based of off.

Ex: Bicycle Black tigers ARE NOTING like normal bikes.

Wynns from what I've herd...they clump are good for cardistry and nothing els.
The Browns ones: They Fan. Are stiff and good for cuts.
The Blue ones:Are VERY good for cuts and fan a bit better. VERY STIFF.
The Red ones:Fan the best. Are still Good for cuts. Not as stiff as Blue Wynns.

one thing: Blue Wynns are STIFF but once you break them in they are magic...except for fanning...fanning is a BAD idea with blue./violet wynns...

Otherwise, THANK YOU! awesome job man!
EDIT: Aviators also have one-way backs

Just use tally-ho's you don't have to be like all the other chumps and buy guardians, wynns and every other black deck under the sun, use ordinary cards they are and always will be the best.

Nice review. I have to say I disagree with you on the Brown Wynns. Mine fine as good as any other deck of Bikes. They have to be my favorite cardistry decks (fanning, cuts). Tallys are the second best because they are so good for everything, and they are cheap.

Tally Ho Circle Backs. FTW. (Always Blue)
WPTs.
Studs.
Bikes. (Vintage ones count as well)
Arrcos.

Those are all you need. Arrcos are iffy for some, but they are crazy sexy.
Don't get me wrong, I would like a pack of Jerry's as much as anyone, but $100 for a deck of cards, yucky.

XCM and Cardistry are NOT the same thing.

When I say that I mean its good for the style.

EX: Cardists use decks like Golden nuggets, Jerry's nuggets, ect witch can't fan.
But an "XCM"-"er" won't use a deck that can't fan because fanning is an important part of there style. Not say Cardists don't fan I'm just saying its less important to them. And lots of them only know a few of them.

So A deck of goldens per say would be classified as a cardistry deck because golden nuggets are good for cuts but not fanning. Therefore it fits the "cuting" style. But since golden nuggets cant fan or spread well I won't call it an "XCM" deck.

^Thats not true at all. So jonas does "XCM" now because he fans?

Those two "catagories" should be combined since they both are looking for the same thing.

There's an interesting thread in the Cardistry/Flourishing forum about the differences between XCM and Cardistry, or lack thereof -- http://forums.theory11.com/showthread.php?p=41986.

Sticking to the review, however, it's very extensive, spanning a variety of decks. Thanks for sharing. Definitely, one of the threads I'll check out, in case I need a review of a deck of cards.

Cheers,
JTM
