I'm looking for divination of thought of card, number, place etc. Can anyone help me out with this? There are several products out there and I'm confused...

Below are some old threads to get you started. Peter Turner (and others) covers this on many of his releases, but this is not be the best place to begin. What is your background in magic and mentalism, or are you just getting started? Most any of the recommended books below will have a method for this. It is best to get a couple of the books below for fundamentals and go from there. Start with Annemann's Practical Mental Magic, it's inexpensive and covers a lot. Post here with questions.

The big names in Mentalism are (but not limited to):

Peter Turner
Bob Cassidy
Luke Jermay
Banachek
Colin McLeod
Max Maven
Docc Hilford (not as popular now)
Richard Osterlind
Spidey (Check him out here on T11)
Corinda
Annemann

Richard Osterlind is probably going to be your best resource for all things mentalism as he has produced a very wide range of resources; and his resources cover a lot of material. Osterlind also did a series of DVD's on Corinda's work as well as on Annemann's work. I highly recommend the one on Corinda's book, which have the same title as the book.

Banachek is like Osterlind, resource-wise, therefore, excellent as well. Peter Turner and Luke Jermay are going to be your best sources for current mentalism.

If you're wanting the best bang for your video buck, I'd highly recommend going over to Penguin Magic and purchasing their "Penguin Live Lectures" that are hosted by many of the mentalists that I listed above. These will be a fantastic introduction to these guy's works, and you can then go from there.

Link to Banachek's lecture as an example:

Hope that helps!

There's no single method for learning information. You're basically asking to learn mentalism. I know most people ignore my advice because methods and tricks are attractive, but in reality there is probably no video created yet that does have material that is more thoroughly explained in a book.

Pick up Switchcraft by Elliot Bresler (I believe), and Maximum Entertainment by Weber. You could literally build an entire mentalism career off of those purchases and it'll cost you less than $100 USD. Supplement those with acting lessons.

Liking to read is very good, because maybe 3-5% of mentalism is in video format. The vast majority is in books - some of them very expensive.
