Card thrown into deck

Does anyone know of a trick where a card is chosen and put back into the deck, and then a card is thrown into the deck and the card that it cut to is the spectator's card. I remember a trick like this a while ago but I'm forgetting where I saw it.

Daniel Garcia released a trick like this years ago. William Tell, I believe was the name.

Ive watched both of these tricks now and i dont think they are quite what I was thinking of. The trick didn't have a double backer and the William Tell trick has a little different idea to it. The trick im thinking of is with a non gimmicked deck and I believe it had something to do with a crimped card. I also remember it did not require much sleight of hand. please reply if you have any ideas.

Frances Menotti has one where throwing the card into the deck finds the mate of the chosen card. It's included in Treachery of Tricks.
