Variations vs. Assimilations

ok i have seen that
people make videos of them with their 'variation' of a flourish cut or magic trick

variation: changing parts to make improve to fit to your style

assimilation: changing parts so that it becomes easier to do

like some videos i have seen they do madonna fro db2 the system, but with no revolutions (if you know what i mean) and say it is their variation

i dont know thats just what i think /....

Yeah, I have noticed that too. Like doing the Leno, but separating the hands and placing a card here and there, or not doing the one handed cut motion on Madonna 3. Whenever you put a video with a messed p move, everyone criticizes. But i you say its a variation, everyone accepts it.
