    Classic force on Animals!

That hilarious....never thought of classic forcing an animal for part of an act. Craig made me think about one of the gimmicked decks I use called a Mirage deck that I might be able to use differently now. Thanks Craig :) The way I've been practicing my classic force lately is with my 4 year...

Balancing Magic and a "Regular" Full-Time Job & De

My life is kind of like Justin's....HECTIC! I am married (11 years) and have a 7 year old son and a 4 year old daughter. I am a full time elementary teacher of 13 years and a semi professional magician who normally does about 2-3 gigs per month. I'm up at 6:30 a.m. every day M-F making breakfast...

What can an Entertainment Company auction off?

I would put together some type of package deal where people get your DJ guy that you work with and yourself doing strolling at an event. Services would be free for 2 hours. People like Event planners or people who like to host parties would bid on it. The problem with auctions like this is you...

Street Magic during festival with three magicians

If there are only going to be 300-500 people and there are 3 of you working....and all of you are handing out your own business cards....it would seem a bit awkward. It would almost be as if you guys were all competitors in a weird sort of way. Switching every 15 minutes in and out is weird as...

    S.A.M And I.B.M Question

Normally in most organizations you download the application, fill it out, send it back in with your money and you should be good to go. Now with some local chapters they will have you attend 3 meetings as a guest and then also have you do an initiation show at the club meeting which could be as...

Cool...I'm glad you get some reactions out of it Josh. How long did it take you to get yours respectable height without looking like a "toss" upwards?

Muscle pass (anti gravity coin) help!

Right...most guys just say, "This is a coin falling down....and this is a coin falling up." and do the move.

Muscle pass (anti gravity coin) help!

Just a funny tid bit. I watched a magician at the Magic Castle perform a perfect muscle pass of about 24 inches high and the crowd could have cared less. I followed the guy out into the hall after his performance and said, "Wow...unbelievable muscle pass!" and he said, "Yeah, magicians are the...

    Cups and Balls (Big set)

Danny, Ring and Things is definitely the way to go. Reality is correct. I hung out with the owner last year and his stuff is TOP OF the LINE man. You may pay a bit more but their products are the best I've ever seen anywhere in the past 10 years.

    Feedback on my one-coin routine?

Nice job man! Keep up the good work. I don't drop by the coin forum much but this was great.

Tell me what do you think 2.0

The move itself is kind of neat, however; what is the purpose? You can't just show the card like you did and then have it pop out from your spring. I mean...I guess you could but it is not very entertaining. I may being a bit too critical but you didn't even do a false shuffle and you can see...

my loops reflect when I do ring levitation

I've always used a black sharpie and ran it along the edges to take the shine off. I can't remember who recommended that to me, but it helps a bit. Sometimes your lighting just doesn't work for you regardless and you should abandon thread / elastic work. Some flourescent lights pick up the stuff...

    Handing out Business Cards?

As mentioned an easy way to give out your business card is to use the "out to lunch" principle, write a prediction with a friction pen and use a lighter to reveal, float it, TNR, staple it to a signed card after a routine, punch a hole in it with a hole punch and if you are doing balloon animals...

    Interesting Gig Coming Up

Craig Thank you VERY much for all of the additional ideas and concepts you provided. I'd definitely like to try some of them in the future should I get another bus or train gig. I like the idea of some type of mini-play where everyone is in on it at the same time and experiencing the story...
