    Magic Cafe?

Haha. Shh. What are the odds he'll find this post by way of Google and say hi? Steerpike has some good thoughts on this in his blog, and I agree with them. Use the Café to the extent that you can get information from it. There are plenty of people who can help you learn. On the other hand, I...

This makes me want to quit.

Completely understand and agree mate. But you should realise, what everyone claims, and what everyone does, are usually two entirely separate things. I won't say much more on this, I've said plenty in the past (for one, I think the Clipshift is 90% a useless piece of junk) - but my advice would...

    Self Working Effects as Closers

I've been using a self-working trick as a closer for about 3 years now, and I must say it's suited me rather well. Going by audience feedback it's probably the strongest effect I do. I've done it both on stage and close up, although I prefer doing it closeup. As for the thoughts you offered...

    Magic Cafe?

To the OP - See if you can get an email through your high school or uni. I've got an account there using my uni account. Failing that, if your folks or any of your friends own a business, and therefore a website domain, they could probably set you up with a private email account on their...

    Silver Dream by Justin Miller

lol. Anyway. On Silver Dream - I think it's a perfectly good trick, but you can get more value for money elsewhere in coin magic. It's a decent intro to sleeving, and a good trick, and it does what it says it does, but at the end of the day, it's a 3fly routine, the coin equivalent of an ACR.

    What is Dan Sperry's problem?

Honestly? The people who hate Dan Sperry will always hate him, and no amount of talk will convince them otherwise. If anything, it will only increase their dramatic attempts at getting attention. I'd be surprised if anyone other than the "wounded" people and their friends cared. Maybe he's a...

trying a new pass - looking for reviews or references

Yes, it's still a top card cover pass. Plenty of people do it with more than one card. It's still the same move, there's nothing new about it. Also, stop fidgeting! You fidget enough to be incredibly distracting. Unless you have a medical reason for not being able to keep your hand steady, it's...

    A 7 year old stunned me :O

There are some pretty simple methods that no-one has mentioned so far... And since this girl was seven, it is likely the methods were simple.

    Jason England's Bottom Deal Demo

I recall a fantastic story about a magician wowing some high ups in the magic societies with his technical skill. He was able to deal seconds, bottoms, centres and greeks perfectly. He was, of course, using a stacked deck. They were so embarrassed that they angrily left the room.

    So im a beginner.....

Don't rush it - there are flourishes that take months to master. Especially some of the more difficult flourishes - even the best can take months to master them, to be perfectly honest. I think you're doing good for 2 weeks in. But definitely do be aware that a lot of the more difficult ones...

Touch My Hand (My Efforts for Her)

These guys have all given you some really solid advice. Would just like to add that you're right about one thing though - good magic is meaningful, so you're on the right track there!

Favorite move to just mess around with

I sometimes do it that way, but I don't need to. I can do it the normal way in about 13 seconds, and at that speed, doing it using base 10 really doesn't speed it up by that much (only by 1-2 seconds on a perfect run - basically, it's only a matter of how fast I can spread through the deck card...
