Well said, and precisely why I didn't mention precise methods.

There are some pretty simple methods that no-one has mentioned so far... And since this girl was seven, it is likely the methods were simple.

I recall a fantastic story about a magician wowing some high ups in the magic societies with his technical skill. He was able to deal seconds, bottoms, centres and greeks perfectly. He was, of course, using a stacked deck. They were so embarrassed that they angrily left the room.

Don't rush it - there are flourishes that take months to master. Especially some of the more difficult flourishes - even the best can take months to master them, to be perfectly honest. I think you're doing good for 2 weeks in. But definitely do be aware that a lot of the more difficult ones...
