    Tarantula by Yigal Mesika

I believe it's essentially a self contained, mechanical version of the Steve Fearson IT hook-up. The Fearson hook-up is ace, lot's of different applications, float things to your mouth, have things float through a ring made by the specs fingers... Awesome! The Tarantula looks fantastic...

    Favourite trick?

Wide spectrum... I don't know... but my most performed trick is probably DROP. Of others material, I must say, I adore stigmata. What I would consider a perfectly constructed effect. CL

    Coin Under Watch

I was recently asked advice on this subject via PM. Here's what I came back with. 'Instead of waving the hand about, try this; At the moment immediately before the load happens, start moving the spectator, guiding her towards a more clear area, so the audience/group of spectators can see...

    Shudder Practicality:

Very practical, and at least one of the methods will be perfect for your particular situation (That's the whole reason Dee teaches two methods ;)) I think, from the sounds of things, you should be good with the impromptu method though ;) CL

    50 Matchbooks?

Tricks with matchboxes? -Ben Harris' CreepsV2 is awesome- think the haunted matchbox, but in the spectators hand! -Paul Harris' Flashfold- a signed business card v anishes from the stack and appears in a matchbox on the table. Very cool! (AoA V.1) -David Forrest's Boxing Clever. An...

    Ali Bongo 1929-2009

Ali was one of the first magicians I ever saw on TV over here. He was so funny and so talented... A great loss. CL

    Art of Astonishment

Coins... Well, volume 2 includes... -PDQ #2. A very nice coins across effect. -Betz poker roll. A nice coin flourish. -King Solomon's drink. A quick flurry of coin vanishes leads into a production of a liquid-filled glass. (AWESOME!) -England's penetration. A borrowed coin...

    Art of Astonishment

-Bizarre twist. F'ing amazing! Do the one-hand Cros Twist handling and you have a jaw-dropper on your hands! -Double Monte. A brilliant finale for any monte routine. Essentially just a 1-for-2 transpo, but can involve a lot of audience participation, Greg Wilson uses it and has the transpo...

    Sleeving

Justin Millers touches on coin sleeving in Silver Dream are very nice, Baltresca has some excellent effect idea's using sleeving, though I'd recommend picking this up after you've studied the practice of sleeving as the teaching of the techniques isn't fabulous. David Stone utilises (I believe)...

How do I sell my own magic?

Thats fair enough Steven. I was going to suggest some avenues you could take, but without knowing any more detail, I can't really add to whats already been said. Good luck! CL

    Stealing from a Sandwich

I often steal cards from between two other cards! The paths I generally go down are either passing the packet, moving the two sandwich cards to the top, both on top of the selected card, then copping it away, or a side steal while apparently displaying the condition of the sandwich...

    Forcing a Cut

Right, so a crimped card? Also, Calvin, thanks for mentioning Breathers, thats actually my preferred type of crimp, I just use it so casually that I often forget to mention the type of crimp to use :) So yeah! Use a breather crimp! CL

    Quick Shell DVD Question

I wholeheartedly recommend the Hooser and Liwag material (though DesTROYers is currently out fo print, you may be able to find it somewhere), and also, Nate Kranzo has some fun idea's in shell work :) CL

    Forcing a Cut

If the deck must be tabled, I'd use a crimp or a thick card (check out Steve Bedwells material for other excellent applications for thick cards). If the deck can be handled, have them cut while you hold a break above the desired card. Even if they cut slightly less than the desired amount...

    Television Coin Bend

Yeah, I used to do it a lot. I haven't done it for a while, as I'm favouring in-the-specs-hand bends at the moment, but it always got great reactions. It's just so sudden and clear. It's lovely and direct. Mint. CL

    Applying D'lites?

Use D'Lites to provide a visible glow of heat in your (or better still, a spectators) hand as a coin bends :) CL

    Barely Chewed by Chastain Criswell

This effect looks wonderful, I may invest! Also, in my reading up of this little number, I came across talk of another gum based effect from your good self, Jeff. Any video footage or what have you perhaps? I'd love the chance to see it! CL

Guy's, I'm in the process of recording a handful of basic demo's for my FreezerBurn effects as well as a few other creations that are at the moment unreleased. I'll let you know when they're up! CL
