    "Being yourself" is overrated...

Ya, a lot of "pros" say that. But they don't even know what that means themselves. What i think is important is to have your own persona. You can be mysterious, comical, calm, etc. This doesn't necessarily need to match your own personality, it's just how you act on stage. For example, on...

Why is your card between to others?

I think sandwich effects are just simply "Look at my awesomeness" tricks. But i think Search and Destroy is a real winner. Mostly because it puts the magic in the spectators hands. Like Aaron said, "The sponge bunnies trick is one of the strongest tricks you can ever do. Every magician knows...

    Cardistry and Magic Problem

Alright i highly doubt you'll be reading this but i have time on my hands so i'll just say it. For me, flourishing is a self thing. I do it as something to do when i'm bored. I don't really use it to amaze people. Sometimes when i'm hanging out with friends, i'll start flourishing but people...

    Jay Sankey products worth buying?

Ya, i bought my dvd's from the spring sale. It was outrageous, i got the Invisible DVD and the Gemini Pouch for only $18. But still there are still stuff not worth buying, even with a sale.

    Jay Sankey products worth buying?

I have recently checked out Jay Sankey's material and i gotta say he has a lot of dvds out there. He seems to be a very creative guy with a lot of magic that fit my style. I have purchased his Invisible DVD and 22 Blows to the Head DVD and they are both phenomenal. But i have also seen some...

    ITR/Tarantula/MLS and all over levitation

I just have a few questions about that: 1. Does it come with the thread? 2. Is it a mechanical gimmick?

    Rubber Bands

Dude you have to check out Baning Around by Russell Leeds. It's possibly the most innovative rubber band dvd i've ever seen. This guys has made so many awesome moves that allows you to visually penetrate a band through a pen, change bands into coins, and even do 3 Fly and Coins Through Table...

Why do you want to see magic?

Yes, i use this quote a lot to describe substansive meaning. While i have written this little essay about 10 times already, i'll write it again. Have you ever performed for someone and a person says "Hey, can you make my wife disappear?" or if you're at a restaurant: "Can you make my check...

The Trilogy part II or CC2

If you wanna start flourishing the Trilogy and Motion are probably the worst possible places. I strongly recommend Xtreme Beginners by De'vo. It teaches you all the basics like cuts, fans, springs etc.

    Risk and Reward

Ya i agree. The people on youtube mainly wanna show off by posting a video of "My super awesome pass!". Honestly people, if you're performing for real people, you can just cut the deck and nobody would care.

    Rope Ends

That makes it look a little awkward doesn't it? Plus it'll probably make it harder because the knots weighs the ends down and in a lot of rope magic, the ends have to stay up in order for you to pull'em off.

The Greek Deal with Jason England :: New 1-on-1 :: RELEASED

I'm just saying that i've always been disappointed by the 1-on-1's cuz it's never something that i would actually use. But i guess you can't please everyone.

The Greek Deal with Jason England :: New 1-on-1 :: RELEASED

Well at least it's the last deal there is. Unless they decide to do the push-off second deal. Come one JB, it's been non stop gambling moves for the past few months. When are you gonna release something that doesn't take 10 years to master? Like maybe coin basics or Cardistry 101 Vol2?

It's some kind of deal? Dammit please don't tell me it's the Greek Deal. I'm sick of all these gambling moves. I want some moves for those of us who don't wanna spend years and years perfecting a move.

    Essay: Improving Your Act

Dude you really need to write an essay about substantive meaning. I keep hearing people say "I do this trick because it's cool" or "How come this trick doesn't impress people? It so visual!!" Every time i see that i give a short essay on substantive meaning. Such as why some tricks are...

    Stage Magic 1-on-1's

Ya, and besides, there are bunch of dvds and books out there that teach stage magic. Just because there isn't a 1-on-1 for something doesn't mean you can't learn it.

That's not a gambling move, it's a magic move. Plus, it's made by Lennart Green who isn't involved with theory11. Plus, he already released a booklet on it and it's taught in his Green Magic dvd set. Anyways, back on topic. I would really like to see a 1-on-1 on riffle stacking or coin basics.

    Re-charge

The only thing i would suggest is to never say "dribble" during a performance. Laymen don't know what that means so it adds confusion. It may not be a lot of confusion, but it's still confusion nontheless. And confusion is something you reall wanna avoid with magic.
