    My mind is blown

I'm aware of the berglas effect, however, if you had done your "research" you would find that Miika is posting a new effect (or his own creation) every week. I highly doubt this is the berglas effect, but there might be some of the same principles in use here. I don't own The Berglas Effects...

    Doing Magic for Megan Nicole!

...... Anyway, I loved the second trick josh, I think the idea is great. No offense though, but the presentation and patter weren't good at all. The reasoning for pulling out a bill and making washington turn into lady gaga didn't make any sense. Saying "I'm going to read your mind in a...

    My mind is blown

Exactly. MagicZach, there are two effects in ECT describing the first, and second technique that Miika uses in the second effect. Miika just uses a variation on the first move (when he asks the spectator to remember any card, as he shows them the spread of cards).

    My mind is blown

MagicZack, The second effect is very much possible (and just as cleanly as he did it). From what I've heard, Derek Dingle has a similar move (having the spectator look at a fan of cards, and knowing which one it is), and Expert Card Technique talks about something very similar as what Miika...

    My mind is blown

I know the second effect is possible and well withing grasp (read ECT). But I'm still stumped by the ACAAN. Thanks TeeDee, I'll check out that effect out, and thanks for the Dai Vernon reference (whoever said that). Could anyone give me the source for where Dai Vernon talks about the thought...

    My mind is blown

Uhhh, yea, I've been watching this video for a quite awhile now and each time it gets more impossible. He says on his blog (and in the video) that it was not set up and uses no stooges. Check it out. Another one that blows my mind. I get the last half, but the thought of card kills me...

    The original "365 project" :: 52 Times A Week

Wow, you amaze me man! Like one of the above posters said, it's hard for me to get exited about new effects, but seriously, when I watch some of your vids, I do. Everytime I watch your ACAAN (or any of your "thought of card" effects) that you did, it blows my puny mind. I can't even begin to...

    Bicycle Fan Backs or Aladdins

I'm glad :) I also forgot to say what Erick said, I wouldn't buy a whole brick of card that you won't know if you will like (especially Aladdins, since there very different). Is it possible for you to get six fan backs and six aladdins? That might be the best way to go. Cheers, Ryan

    Bicycle Fan Backs or Aladdins

^ Great advice ^ (sarcasm aside) I'll try be as unopinionated as I can. I don't have fan backs, but I can say that Aladdins are very nice cards if you want to go for them. They are more resistant to sweaty hands (good for me), so that can be a plus depending on your hand type or where you...

Attending Nathan Kranzo lecture tomorrow night!

You're in for a treat Rick! I attended a lecture of his (my first lecture ever) and it was fantastic. He's a very funny guy, and has some ridiculously good effects, seriously. His effect (I believe called "Pimp'n") blew my mind and everyone else's at the convention, he also had a hilarious...

Book Recommendation - "Sleights of Mind"

I second that for sure! Honestly one of my favorite magic books. So much info to learn, and a lot of stuff we already know but don't understand, which will help you with confidence and how to use it to it's fullest potential. Seriously good stuff.

    The Gentle Change by Astone

The Gentle Change- Astone Download quality: The download quality is superb. Crystal clear. Not much else to say. Download: The download comes with a Movebox and TheTrick files. The Movebox teaches the moves you need to know to accomplish the effect (the cull in this case), and TheTrick...

    Fuzion and Ambitious Switch?

I bought Kelvin's and it's brilliant. It's taught very well, variations and applications. If you want to learn the ambitious riser move, buy this for sure. Some nice takes on getting into the move to.

    Ring Heist by Marcus Eddie

I didn't have that problem with Ring Heist, but when I tried to add Armband, it did what you said. Try sending ellusionist an email with your problem.

    Ring Heist by Marcus Eddie

Yea, the subtleties with the second band we well thought out, and very convincing. Like I said, he even goes over some good advice on doing it all in front of an audience. It's much more practical than the russell leeds effect. Marcus's is more of a standup version, while russell's requires...

    Ring Heist by Marcus Eddie

Ring Heist - Marcus Eddie I decided to write up a quick review of Marcus Eddie's Ring Heist on Ellusionist. Quality: We're all used to T11 quality vids, and Ellusionist has never been fantastic quality, but I was pleasantly surprised. The quality rivaled Theory 11 easily, very very...

    The Static Change

Hey man, actually quite impressed (I didn't expect to be). I like it, looks similar to the zoso change by doc docherty (the change part) I liked the effects and the close up you added to the video, but would like to see a straight up performance of it.
