    Retention Vanish Question

I really like the retention vanish. However, I learned the retention vanish by doing spongeballs, because i haven't really started coins until a few days ago. I was curious, if anyone here has Jay Noblezada's sponge DVD, if the method from that DVD could be practical for coins. I only ask...

    Session... like right now.

Ok. I totally understand your point, and its totally true some nights i just end up sitting where I am right now practicing. But right now, I wouldn't mind a session, considering its not even noon yet here so the majority of my friends aren't even awake, let alone if they actually want to hang...

    Favorite Effect Type

What are your favorite types of effects? e.g. Transposition, gambling demonstration, mates finding, ace assembly. I sometimes have trouble figuring out what type of effect I want to do when making an effect. I have a whole switch sequence I combined with some moves I know, and I think its pretty...

    Gambling demo-tips

Yea I don't like to show many palming demonstrations, even the invisible palm sometimes, because i don't want them to be looking for it when I do an actual effect.

    Gambling demo-tips

Any Ace cutting sequence can be seen as a gambling demonstration. Another good gambling demonstration is a ten card poker game, where you do some false deals from a small packet. I personally have a demonstration that is a combination of a story, gambling demonstration, and ten card poker effect...

    Chop Cup Routines

Anyone know any good sources for a practical chop cup routine? I haven't seen many around that use a regular chop cup. Paul harris's two routines in AoA both use odd props.

THAT, good sir... is a trick deck!

I let them examine the whole deck and play with it a bit to make sure its not gimmicked. I get it the second I pull out a pack of cards sometimes, even when its just normal bikes. If they start getting too messy with them just take them back and tell them to stop manhandling your babies.

    Opinion on Handmucking Sources

I am receiving a gift from my aunt for finishing my first college application. And I am very interested in handmucking and how it applies to card magic, as well as other gambling moves in general. So I am unsure whether to purchase Richard Turner's The Cheat Special Edition, or Tony Giorgio's...

    "Let me see the deck"

Well I remember what worked for me with the svengali was just dribbling the cards to show them all different and saying, "I just did at least twice." And if they pursue just keep up the "already did" act. Or you can do deck switches, that is obviously more sneaky and will shut them up, but is...

    Action Palms

Yes I have seen that Marlo goes over a few delayed versions. But at the same time, isn't the put of the action palm so it isn't delayed? so that it happens at a point when the spectators think it can't while the card are in motion?

    Action Palms

Has anyone with revolutionary card technique or just the action palm booklet played around with some of these? I think they can be very efficient and deceptive I already have found uses for a few. Anyone have any thoughts they can discuss here?

    Five Minute Speech... Help Me!

Oh okay I see what you mean. Yes if you can perform those effects well than I suggest doing match bite. Its visual and powerful, and it involves more than cards so the audience won't just think you are "tricking" them essentially.

    Five Minute Speech... Help Me!

Can you even do that? Doing an effect isn't really a speech
