    Autograph + TNR =

    Check out John Van der Put's VDP - It's a similar idea, but much more direct and simple in effect. D.

    David Penn: Refraction

    It's a very effective routine. I'm not David's biggest fan, but refraction is good. It's essentially a table variation of Mindbender from Ted Lesley's Paramiracles - Check it out. I'm sure you'd be able to put it to good use! Best, D.

    The ADVOCATE :: Daniel Madison

    Can you levitate?

    Oh man, I thought Gravitate was awful... It just looked so bad. I love a lot of Peter's stuff and use a few of his things regularly...but Gravitate... :P D.

    The ADVOCATE :: Daniel Madison

    It was about 3am. The seedy back room of the Ruskin hotel in Blackpool when I was asked to name any card. Four of Clubs. It was already in Gianni's hand. Upon reading the Advocate manuscript, looking at the gimmick and understanding the simplicity and versatility of the item, floods of ideas...

    Forcing a Cut

    Infinity principle is where it's at - very effective as a crimp to locate a card, not sure how it'd work as a "cut to me" key card though! D.

    Alvo Stockmans PostMentalism question

    The important thing is that they can mark the envelope and push it into the post box themselves, so they know that there's no way you could tamper with it. Remember, it IS just a magic trick, but it's a very convincing one as you don't even have to be there when they open it!!! D.

    Why I love being a magician.

    Me and Marc Oberon strolled into a very high class Indian restaurant called Anoki in Nottingham after one of our December gigs together... Someone had mentioned that we were magicians and as we were the last one's left in the restaurant they asked us to show them some magic and they'd "look...

    Blackpool Magic Convention In Britain

    I'm off traveling tomorrow! Should be good fun going disco dancing with all the gents :) Give me a shout when you get there Lloyd, I'm on the ground floor with Marc Oberon... The ground floor's cool too.. You can cock your head upward and catch a glimpse of all the cool cats above! D.

    A case to put all your magic things?

    I have a room for my magic stuff, 'the magic room' we affectionately call it! It's rather overflowing though - I need to convert one of the other rooms to 'the magic room 2: the sequel' :P Try those stackable plastic boxes with lids, they're pretty useful :) D.

    The Phone Has Chimed Yet Again

    I'm not sure if R3 would be one to put a balloon in front of his face :S D.

    Contort by: Kevin Parker

    I know Brandon very well, it's the same BW that used to write for 24h magic and the Plazza. There's nothing wrong with someone asking you to post your thoughts on their effect, I don't think I know anyone who doesn't send out pre-release or free copies of effects! D.

    Dark Music

    For real dark ambiance check out profane grace - He's italian I think. Sunn0)) from the UK are pretty dark too. For more up-tempo evil try Anaal Nathrak from over here or perhaps a little Sargeist. D.

    Balloon Swallowing... Best Balloons?

    A good idea is to have the balloon far up the pump enough to be able to grip over the magic fun place during inflation if that's where the issue is. I've not tried the following, but I imagine you could do the set up after inflating the balloon using a small piece of tape already placed as per...

    Best Coin Bending

    I disagree - The superman bender has done me proud over the last few years using it. It's hardly the lap of luxury when it comes to benders, but it's quick, easy and ditches it's self...depending on how you use it. You definitely don't need to put your hands in your pockets, but either way...
