Backyard // cardistry x no magic// Kyle La

Nice job man. I would maybe slowly start to transition between cuts and flourishes to tie them all together. Maybe some L cuts to fill in the gaps? Really nice work man!

Why are you doing a pass?

    Strongest Card Trick?

Believe it or not but the effect I perform that really freaks people out is the Biddle Trick. As magicians we sometimes forget that less is more. And I always follow that up with Regeneration by Blake Vogt which just puts the whole experience of your spec over the top.

    Need Advice please, thank you

I would recommend learning a nice top palm so you can clean your deck. You could always perform an effect with a gaff card or deck, put the deck in your pocket and perform a coin effect or another close up miracle of your choice and then come out with a clean deck and continue. One thing I have...

What tunes do you jam to?

We all have certain music that inspires us and gets our skill set flowing. I like listening to SevenDust and Thousand Foot Crutch. What gets you going?

    Hit the Road

Lee has a lot to offer and I am happy to call him a friend. You will be happy with what you learn from him when you are not learning the moves. Watch his productions in their entirety.

    Invisible loops problems.

Thread takes some time to get use to. I hated the stuff, but seen what could be done with the stuff. I spent a lot of $ as well as time to find out just how to handle it, how it reacts to different objects and have come to like using it. Just remember that less is more with thread.

I quit magic for a while but should I continue?

I totally agree. I also left magic close to 12 years ago to pursue my career as an automotive mechanical engineer. I paid my dues then came back to magic. Now I run my very own magic supply company.

    Decoy by Eoin O'Hare

I was not involved in making these gimmicks at all. All the credit goes to Mr. O'Hare and his fine attention to detail.

    Decoy by Eoin O'Hare

I have no problem performing this surrounded. But to be honest ,it's always best to have your spectators, as in any effect standing in front of you so they get the full visual!

    Decoy by Eoin O'Hare

I personally like the rising card effect, very visual.

    Decoy by Eoin O'Hare

I had put one Decoy deck I got through the ringer and still functions perfectly.

    Decoy by Eoin O'Hare

Would you be able to use the rising card during an ambitious routine? Absolutely, nice thinking!

    Decoy by Eoin O'Hare

"Although it is not examinable, could the audience hold the cards in their hand? In the demo we see the diminishing happen in a spectators hand, could they have then handled those cards at all? Or would I need to immediately take them back?" There are some limitations to having the spectator...

    Decoy by Eoin O'Hare

I had the pleasure of getting a Decoy Deck a few months before. I have to say this is the most visual gimmick/effect I have seen in years. So deceptive yet functional. With the Decoy deck in play, anything is possible. Can not wait to see all the uses other magicians come up with! Decoy is one...

David Blaine Real or Magic Discussion.

Totally enjoyed the entire show!!!! I really was amazed to see David perform Regeneration!!!!!!!!!
  19. Jeremy Hanrahan

I enjoyed your performance! Only suggestion is to slow it down in between the phases. You have to let your spectators brain process each phase as they see it. J

    coin shell is too noisy

It's hard to explain how to shell a coin without it talking. I always bring it down on a diagonal slide and then let up on the pressure of the shell. j
