I ended up tearing all my cards in half but nothing was inside. Was I doing something wrong?

I own Break and like Bayme said... I would say there is less than a 1% chance that a random spectator could break the penny. Heck, before I "learned" how it worked, I thoroughly examined the pennies and even tried to break one... but alas I failed. It's pretty solid.
