That's a good trick. A couple ideas to think about... It's a pretty quick effect if you think about it. Make it shorter in terms of the explanations. It doesn't have to be written out in brail. Handle the jokers the least that you can besides the end. Don't separate the pack, find a way...

Triumph is the strongest effect. They see cards being mixed up-down and they right themselves. It is impossible, all other card tricks can be attributed to sleight of hand.

There are different mechanisms to pull the pen quickly. One of them is the raven, the one on the video is probably the gecko or something similar. The problem with that video is that it didn't fool me. There were so many ways it could be accomplished that it looked fake in a way.

Dude, you're completely correct about the Ortiz book. I was hooked as it reads like a fiction. I still put it down because of his writing style. After awhile I started feeling like he was trying to talk me into something.
