Some magicians don't perform based on what's cheap and what's not. There are people who still open packs of Jerry's to use and not to collect; what's to stop people from using Wynns, which are far cheaper, for an Internet video? Just a thought.

It's not constructive criticism if it does nothing but attack the video, and offers little or no help at all.

I certainly hope that you are all aware of how the placement and choice of words can change everything. As a writer, I'm quite clear on that point. It seems encouragement has never really been the strong point here.

Like I already said, it's not about sugarcoating your words. But it's also not about lacing it with venom and malice to put down the other person's dignity. Tell them it wasn't quite good enough, and that there's a lot of room for improvement, not demonstrate your "superiority" by spamming...

I am a perfectionist in magic, I think. If I cannot perform an effect properly, then I will never perform it until I get it. That is why I haven't performed the Queens effect yet; because I've gotten everything down except the part before the first vanish down. As long as I can't fool myself...

This thread serves as an example as to why I don't even think of making and submitting a single performance video to Theory11. Non-constructive criticism, or just plain out snubbing of less experienced magicians are hardly the basis for Theory11. What's ruining Theory11 is not new magicians...

I believe the general consensus is that Tallys are right at the top, although there are others, such as Bikes, that aren't too bad, and are preferred over Tallys. :)

Valuable advice, I feel. But lose the additional question marks. They make you look very... odd.
