    No more card tricks!

Haha, nice. It's also refreshing to see a change from the Criss Angel-like performances. Keep it up, brother.

    My New PK Effect

Did you really copyright it? Because it says you did. Are those the only angles it can be seen from?

    Is it impromptu?

    The Paper Engine / Questions

Thanks for that link! I tried using the search funstion above, but I didn't find that topic. Looks like a really great investment. I'm also glad someone replied before I left for the store. :) Thanks for the help.

    The Paper Engine / Questions

I'm giving serious thought to buying a copy today, but I haven't been able to hear anything about it from someone other than a promoter or publisher. Does anyone here have it, and it is worth the 25 bucks?

If you really had magical powers...

I wouldn't want to read people's minds as much as I'd like to control them. That way I would never have to do anything. I could show them a 6♥ and without any effort, tell them it was an A♠. I could also convince them that I could fly, and to give me money. And that my tricks don't suck.

SEPTEMBER 2009: That Feeling of Wonder

Thanks, my friend. It was really an incredible feeling. When I went back last year I tried to take some leave time to go and try tracking her down, but I decided it would be too hard to find a needle in a haystack. Especially a haystack that hates needle finders like me and will try to kidnap me...

SEPTEMBER 2009: That Feeling of Wonder

I was on a mission in Mosul, Iraq 4 years ago. There were no real bases where we were, so my platoon had to sleep in hummers parked on the sidewalks in "trouble areas." It was meant to reassure the people what we were there to "protect them." One night, while we were sleeping, our fireguard...

    Man, Mountain, Rose

Also, this reminds me... I just bought a book called, "Favorite Norse Myths." I don't know if that's exactly what you were thinking, but I'm sure there's a lot fo great ideas in there.

    Man, Mountain, Rose

That is an awesome idea. I'm thinking something along the lines of Rumpelstiltskin, where you take "wool" and spin it into "gold." There are a few things you could use to make this happen, I believe. Great idea, brother.

    Live Performance of Watermark

Sometimes a trick is so good that it's worth is lost on the spectator. I agree with what was said above; slower is better. I don't know have this one yet, so I don't know how it functions, but you could try balling the napkin up in your fist and soaking it in water, so when you open it up...

    Practicing Habits.

I keep a deck of cards on the back of the toilet. There's also a pack in the drawer beside my couch. Whenever I'm handling business, I ALWAYS seem to mess around with them and practice what I'm working on. Also when I'm lounging on the couch, I think it helps by forcing me to do things while...

    Thicker Flash Paper...

If you need thicker than usual, couldn't you make your own out of any material you want? I've made flash string before using this recipe. If you can't find the thickness you need, consider making your own.

    Leviticus (My Created Card Trick)

I'm not a professional by any stretch of the mind, and I have very little ground to speak from, so keep that in mind when you read this. I liked it, but it was a little rushed. You almost revealed yourself towards the end and someone who is looking for it will see. Also, you might want to...

    Quite Upsetting - Exposure

Thanks! That was an amazing link you gave me. The version I learned couldn't hold a candle to that effect! I'm buying that DVD as soon as I find my wallet! There is no way I could pull that off with the version I was taught. Thanks, brother! :D This place is awesome.

I am in a bit of trouble here

Way to go on scoring an international audience. I have been to Japan before for the Army, and in my experience, they're pleased as punch that an American even made an attempt, as was mentioned before. Just don't try bowing. They won't expect you to. They're also a VERY polite and enthusiastic...

    Quite Upsetting - Exposure

Thanks for the warm welcome. As for the forums being crap, I wouldn't know the difference. I'm having a ball going through and reading old topics; I'm trying to learn enough to keep up in a conversation. :) I wish I could say I bought the trick, but I didn't. I straight up got taught for...

    Quite Upsetting - Exposure

I've been doing my versions of "magic tricks" since I was 7 years old, and it's so awesome to have come across this site. I'm learning that the things I did have names and histories. In short, it's amazing to have a community like this. My point is this: While reading these your posts, I've...
