    TRANSIT by Calen Morelli

I've never in my time been fooled by one magician so many times. Even some of the pros I've been able to watch and almost immediately get how they do it, but I couldn't get anything from Calen.

    Approachment

Hey guys. Lately Ive been trying to really get into the street magic thing. You know, going to Safeway or a cafe and just making people happy. Now this sounded great when I first started doing it, but after just a little bit I began to realize that it might be much harder than I thought.. I...

Ignore Everybody and 39 other Keys to Creativity

Alright people. I found the best book for magicians. Its not about coins. Its not about cards, and its not about toothpaste magic, which ive heard is picking up. The whole book is about CREATIVITY. 40 rules on nothing but how to do what you love uniquely, and succesfully. Here are just some of...

    Creating Routines

I am currently creating a routine. My plan is to have three card tricks, a coin routine, and at least two rope tricks. Now what i would like to know is do you guys think this is a good lineup and if not, could you supply a good explanation and possibly some advice. Thank you!

    Washers as coins

Well, I've found them to be quite workable actually. They are a little slippery, but A good magician should be able to do a coin routine with a rough rock in my opinion, so if I can do it with something harder than coins, coins should be a snap when I pick them up again.

    Crucifixion Deck

The gambling factor This is something my dad pointed out to me, and I know it's true because I've experience it first hand. The first thing people say to me when they see me with a deck of cards, they don't say "Oh, are you a magician?" No they ask me if i gamble. The first impression of a...

Hand care: What do we do to take care of our hands?

As magicians, we all share one common thing, we all use our hands. I know that in some cases, people do not use their hands, mostly if they don't have any. But my question to you guys is, how do we as magicians take care of our hands? I know that sometimes, for me at least, I get a little...

    Washers as coins

I created a coin routine that is done with washers. It's kind of a coins across trick featuring Alvo Stockman's brain washer vanish. I think it's pretty cool, but what I want to know is what do you guys think about using washers instead of coins. Thanks Keenan O. "Anyone can do a card...

    One Coin Routine

Smooth I think it was fantastic, it really hit me hard and actually fooled me pretty well, and if it can do that then it can deffinitely fool a spectator who knows nothing about magic. But if you work on the smoothness of the routine then it will definitely look way better.

    New Moves

oops Err, soryy man, I thought of that right after i posted that first comment. It's an instant flip move, I don't feel bad about revealing it because its my trick, so here goes. you put a card on the bottom and then start like a charlie cut, but you push the bottom card outward with your...

    Practice and Rehearsal

smart magic Dude, all I can say is that I think smart magic is better magic, which means the more you're are focusing on a trick while you're performing, the better it will turn out. If you're being mindless, magic becomes almost less magical. I think magic should be in the performers mind just...

    New Moves

I made a new move, I haven't named it yet, but it's pretty good and can be used in many different situations. But my problem is that I can't cover it correctly. It looks exactly like a charlie cut, so any ideas would be fantastic. Thanks guys.

How do you create a card trick?

Hey man. All I can say is what I did really worked for me. First take a classic in magic that magicians have been doing for a long time, for example Hofsinzer's ace problem. Lots of people have their own version of this trick. Once you make a trick like this, it will help you understand how...

Ego change vs. Cardini snap change

smooth ego Well, I think the difference is the speed. Cardini is perfect for people who like quick snappy magic, while the ego change is for people who want a smooth, cool looking change. The cardini will leave people stunned for a second and the ego will give them time to think about what just...
