So I have an opportunity to perform at a local retirement home. I figured it's an excellent opportunity for a first professional free gig. How long should my set be? Should I prepare for 30 mins of material? An hour? I have the material I just don't know what the standard is.

Was just reading some of this thread. I personally started with learning a good ambitious card routine. The beautiful thing is as you learn more you can keep adding to it and really make the trick as long of a routine as you want. To a certain extent. Dont make it jump to the top like 12 times...
