    Stevens Control Squaring Problems

Only the one card is supposed to pivot out. I use the method described by Vernon and experienced the same issue when I first learned it. Try applying less pressure and ensure that both halves are straight as you square them. If you square with the halves at a slight angle this can cause...

If you carefully open the bottom of the cellophane you can reseal it with an iron. Simply place a handkerchief of thin towel over the seal and apply a hot iron for the few seconds.

    "Cooler" Move

Fast Jack shows several excellent cold deck switches on his recent Penguin live lecture along with a large amount of other material. There is also The Art of Switching Decks by Roberto Giobbi which I believe covers the topic extensively, I don't own this so I'm not familiar with the switches...

The method of doing this during play depends heavily on the game you are playing in. If the game if loose you will get away with a lot more than a game with strict procedures which are enforced. Depending on the game you may simply get away with looking through the discards. There's also the...

RRTCM or Card College Vol 1

The book is written for beginners and most of the explanations and illustrations are clear and easy to understand. You may need to re-read parts several times to fully understand them, but I think this is the case with most books. In order to get the most out of the book it is important to...

RRTCM or Card College Vol 1

I would recommend RRTCM as a starting point, however both are excellent books. RRTCM is cheaper and will give you a strong foundation in card magic, it covers a lot of basic and important sleights along with some very powerful effects.

There are a lot of 'gambling moves' in expert card technique, if you don't already own this it can be picked up for little cost. As for the greek and centre deals, I'm not aware of any free sources which properly teach these. However, if you know the mechanics of the push-off bottom deal then...
