Simply put: Yes. It is wrong to teach it to others. Why perform if you're just going to teach it to your spectators? And I believe you already done so to ask these kinds of questions.

Dude, of all the many things I've learned in life, everything you learn can be applied to anything. Magic lets you learn how to communicate(which is very important for any job) with people and it keeps your mind open and creative.

What I mean is you are learning to many moves at the same time. If you do not like to learn one at a time, then try 3 or 4 (6 is way too much). Practice slowly and get it smooth. Only then you should move on to the next.
