    Wynns

I can't see paying paying so much for cards. You can buy a new pack of cards from Bicycle, Hoyle, or any United States Playing Card Company cards for less than $4. Buy a new pack monthly and it less than 1/2 of what you'd pay for new Wynn's (And United States Playing Card Company also makes...

    Celebracadabra

I would say that I wish the celebraties would trade instructors weekly just so that the magic would be more rounded out, and not necessarily clones of there teachers.

    Celebracadabra

I dig it! I'm glad that this is on since A&E took Criss Angel off. So I get my magic fix from this and channel 13 in the L.A. area puts a magic show or special on once a week!

    Make Magazine #13

Has anyone else got or checked out Make magazine #13 since it is a magic issue special? If not see makezine.com or get this sucker at your bookstore. I normally wouldn't push a magazine (and it's $14.99, not cheap, and there are classic magic books less expensive!), but the tricks it has...

Who's got any experience or knowledge of this sucker? http://www.penguinmagic.com/specialorderproduct.php?ID=9241

The Royal Road to Card Magic (Revised)

Royal Road to Card Magic is excellent. There are also 2 dvd series that cover the techniques. I would also recommend Expert Card Technique by Hugard & Braue, Card College, and Syd Segal of Gaft Card Magic referred me to Jerry Mentzer's "Counts, Cuts, Moves, and Subtlety".

    Smoking Aces

I asked the same question in other forums on sites (and only got smart ass answers on the dananddave.com forum), all I've found out is that it was designed by Paul Harris, and everyone claims it is a camera only trick. Paul has an extensive library of information for sale, but that'd be the...

Okay, we got off subject here. Forget the I hate so and so nationality and the this culture, what did people honestly think of the tricks?

    Question about Jerry's Nuggets

umm, has anyone tried to make friends with a Jerry's Nugget employee? The Casinothemselves sell the decks, and for a far less price. Especially the the decks that have been used for only one session. Remember, it's easy to be hard, but hard to be smart!

    Deck Test Update

I've found the Orange County Choppers cards just as durable a a Ghost or Tiger Deck, and less expensive! Plus they're cool loking!

alright, I got schooled in vocubalary. I know as a rational, thinking human being, you can be above and beyond degrading people by generalizing them.

    Jerry's Nugget Offer?

You know guys, there is a brand name called Aristocrat that sells decks only used for one casino session. that may be worth looking into. Also, the casinos don't sell them online, but they do sell their used decks. I'd find some friends in Vegas who could look into things like Jerry's Nugget...

    Japanese Magic

Dude, that's anti-semite and negative! If you don't like it, leave it at that. I know you're above ridicule.

    New here just saying hi!

Welcome here, friend! We all learn from each other here. Go figure, I'm new to magic myself (yet beginning at age 33), but this site has been awesome, and the people here a great help. Even the tech support and customer service people here rule. And funny how these guys mention ninjas since I...

    Totally Out Of Control

Okay, although I'm ordering a copy, how come other than the 1-on-1, there is no dvd or other other stuff on Chris Kenner? I know that he could produce much better products than most on the market. If relative newcomers like the Buck twins can produce awesome videos, I'm certain that their hero...

Bad magic from a "Grandmaster Ninja"

I know that the rules are no Ninja stuff, but many may believe this to be an exception. This is Ashida Kim, check out the video (and I also posted the book where he teaches the "techniques". Make sure to watch the full video before posting. I'm also baffled on how come he didn't use any Asian...

    Criss Angel

I always get a great response using his toothpick trick! His biography was awesome. It is no secret that Criss uses other actors and accomplices for his illusions and tricks. Pure and simple, magic is used to amaze people, and Penn and Teller are famous for using other people in their acts...

    Which book should I buy?

Check "The Magical Life of Long Tack Sam" by Ann Marie Fleming. This is an easy read and this guy was a pioneer in showmanship. I'm looking for the documentary of this as well (If anyone knows where to find the film, I found out it did appear several times on IFC). This guy went all over the...
