    What should I learn next?

I could add to the one trick DVDs the Asher Twist DVD - it's impromptu, and requires only a couple of months to do smoothly.

    Joel Paschall - Fan Control

I didn't say it's not a good control. I said it's a rip-off to pay this price for it. You can read how it's done in "Expert Card Technique" which you can get for $6.00 and there are hundreds of sleights and tricks in there as well.

What is your favorite magic trick?

Eddie Fechter's "Be Honest, What is it?" (aka Two Card Monte)

    Joel Paschall - Fan Control

    Yeah, I agree with you, it's a rip-off.

    Card magic

"Born to Perform Card Magic" and "Crash Course 2: Ambitious Card" are excellent DVDs. In fact, I can't think of any other DVDs "with a lot of good tricks" in them. Mostly you got either DVDs with sleights or DVDs with just one trick. But that's not what you are asking for.

Will Ellusionist make a 100 grand?

    Uh, who cares?

    Audience under control

OK, what's the trick you like most? Let's say an impromptu trick. Or give me three tricks, if you can't choose. Don't be afraid to say an Ambitious Card routine, just because 'everyone' does it...

    Audience under control

This is actually a worse idea. 'Everyone' does it because it is one of the best card tricks ever. Props to David Blaine who chose this trick among thousands of others for his TV special.

    Audience under control

This what I can say from my limited experience. First of all, try not to do to the same person more than one trick where you hand them a card face down. The reason is that people are pretty smart and they catch up with your tricks pretty quickly. You can fool them once, but next time they see...

David Blaine's "Lions" - Review Score Question

Haha, be careful what you are saying, because David Blaine is actually using his Split Spades more than any other deck and perhaps when the new Smoke&Mirrors are ready, Dan and Dave will be using them quite often ;) Boy, I can't even imagine the hype the Dan and Dave deck will receive, and I'm...

Another, That's Right, ANOTHER TiVo 2.0 Performance

That's not a regular small pinky break you are talking about here. It's huge, and let me tell you - laymen may not know about sleight of hand but they are not blind either. You stick your little finger in there and they see it - you may ruin the effect.

Another, That's Right, ANOTHER TiVo 2.0 Performance

I think you should remove it from youtube immediately. That is the most revealing performance of this trick I've seen on youtube. You can clearly see the huge pinky break and the cardini change. Now, don't get me wrong - you get the moves and the patter down perfect, great job, but not the...

    About T11's marketing of cards

I don't like the hype because it tries to sell each new deck of cards as 'different' in terms of feel and quality. This is BS and we all know it. The only difference (as long as it is produced by the USPCC) is the design. This answers the question someone has asked - what information do we...

    Covered Backslip Force Honest Review

The best force in a riffle force situation is the standard riffle force (the one where you force the card at the break). I am not joking. Cyril Takayama uses this force all the time for his tricks (he rarely uses the classic force) and he is always surrounded by watchful spectators and high...

    Covered Backslip Force Honest Review

This is what Theory11 has promised: "It's our goal to deliver only the most effective, hard hitting magic to you, the magician. If it's "sorta cool," we won't sell it." Now I wonder how does a backslip force qualify as "most effective, hard hitting magic"? It seems to be just another one of...

David Blaine :: Split Spades : UNVEILED

This time the deck is 'iconic', 'revolutionary', 'best feeling ones', 'amazing', 'unique', 'completely new'. I don't believe it, they did it again  When is this marketing BS going to stop, these are just regular cards produced by the USPCC, no different than regular bicycles, just different...

"Street Magic" in Germany by TimurY!

It's was awsome, I was smiling all six minutes of the video. I admire your skills and courage! I also watched that other video where you do stigmata - it was so strong, the guy couldn't react at all :D

David Blaine :: Split Spade : The Lions

I am not against new decks per se. Anyone can print any decks they like, and no one is obliged to buy them. But I am against the marketing BS, that comes with each and everyone of these new decks. They are 'special', 'of remarkable quality', 'phenomenal', 'made to last', 'you can cut cheese...
