i think the biggest hindrance to people, (not just Micheal) doing this routing, is that people who learn these types of routines do the same motions as what is taught because they are told they have to, without properly understanding WHY they are doing it. the WHY is more important than the how...

personally, bicycle brand cards have gone so far down the pooper its not funny. the borders suck about 40 percent of the time, and now they have changed the box, and now even the faces of the cards have changed slieghtly. i think the ceo hates magicians lol

i can tell you from personally handling the coins, that todds shells are of fantastic quality, everything he does is a work of art. however, jaime schoolcrafts coins are also absolutely phenominal. i cant really tell you that one is better than the other, its all down to personal preference.

well, i prefer to use preshow work. this way i can have someone come up and just THINK of a card. thus eliminating the first deck. then its turns into a creepy mentalism trick, which is something i really dig. im not gonna give up my script haha

@justice, thanks for your comment, i know that effects along this line are not mine, but this method, i believe is. i wanted to model the x card effect from jay sankey's invisible DVD, but didnt want gimmicks, and still wanted it to be easy to do

the now where palm, has really changed my approach to stand up coin magic, whenever i find myself if the desired position, i surely use it. its more open than finger palm, and gives a very convincing empty look, its also great to use with Eric Jones' Enigma move

i also want to say that i in NO WAY, EVER, said anything about camera tricks, or anything of the sort, I have the deepest respect for the consultants of Mindfreak, and what they do. my only grudge was the release of this effect.

i am not saying criss isnt a busy guy, and im not saying that criss is bad for magic. what i am saying, is that i think it is completely rediculous to publish an effect that everyone already knows about, and probably has at home. thats what im saying. im not dissing his show, or his consultants...

the Mcdonalds Aces have been done by several different people, i find it hard that Criss couldnt come up with his own trick to release. and i agree with the previous post. i actually know people who have seen his show, and apparently, its all about boosting his ego, and ****ting on the little guy.

i just find it rediculous that he claims magic is HIS art, and he knows NOTHING about it. i bet half the 15 year old magicians at any given magic convention could one up him both on performing, AND history. the fact that he MIGHT credit the creator is irrelavent. why cant he create his own crap...

let me say this. i had the pleasure of meeting Eric at a convention in new york not too long ago. and aside from being one of the nicest people ive met, his magic is just balls to the wall awesome. seriously, his oxy clean coin routine, is soooo much better in person.
