PYRO by Adam Wilber featured in local NewsPaper

It's not a good thing whatsoever. It's treated as a gimmick, and people will be rolling up a magicians' sleeves to check for secret stuff. Pushy spectators will do whatever they want to. If the thumb-tip were exposed to many people, spectators would be yanking at magicians' thumbs all the time...

    Essential Coin Magic Books?

Christmas is coming up and my parents have no clue what to get me. I already own a copy of Bobo's, and I've plowed through most of it, but are there any other renowned books on coin magic? Also, do you have any recommendations for good all-around magic books in general? I don't care if it's card...

    Dealing with liars

Considering that all who seem to have this problem are likely (due to the number of forum posts) very new to magic (nothing wrong with this, we all started at some point), they are not only unable to make engaging patter, but likely are very nervous or didn't practice enough; the latter of which...

    Decoy

This ought to work: Glue a card CORRECTLY on top of the "botched" card. Carefully cut away the excess card sticking out with scissors, being aware that you could accidentally cut the gimmick, so be careful.

    Height Problem with Coin Magic

Well, I am much much shorter than anyone I wish to perform to. I'm 5 foot one, and am the shortest boy in my high school campus. I don't want to step back however, since I use half dollars and this would drastically reduce their visibility.

    Height Problem with Coin Magic

Yes but there is a possibility of the spectator catching a glint. I mostly asked this to see if there was a way if I could do a standard spellbound change without my height being an issue.

minimal amount of time using trick?

Also, if your move is simple enough that you fear someone else will release in the short time (6 months is short in my book, considering how long the art has already been around for) span of you practicing the move more, chances are it's not original.

    Height Problem with Coin Magic

I'm very short for my age, and this often isn't a problem with many card sleights since most of the best angles are looking down on the deck, which my diminutive stature actually aids in doing. However, there are many coin sleights that I am afraid to do since I am so short, namely the french...

    Theory11 on Vsauce 2

As you may know, Vsauce2 is a well known youtuber, and he recently featured Theory 11's Mystery Box Cards in his latest episode of LUT. Pretty cool. (and yes, the title is very deceiving) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4PfGC7QsHg

    BelBel Trick - My Version

Also, you probably should change the title to "Bebel," as Belbel is likely just a typo (unless I'm wrong).

    Cut opinion

Honestly, I don't think it is good enough. It lacks fluidity in some portions, and many of the grips you use make it difficult you to do a move with each hand, as having a hand not doing anything doesn't look very great. Generally any move you add to a flourish is only justified if you are going...

    Maybe a new control

If he was ok with teaching it if it wasn't his, then why is he asking if it's original?

    T.G. Murphy deck flip Help

It all depends on how worn in our old deck is. If you have sweaty hands and the cards are sticking together, it will be easier. However, if you have an old deck without as much stickyness, it is much more likely for air to get under the cards, causing the top couple to fly off. I find that often...

    Certain type of Material Needed

Requirements: A deck of cards, glue, a band/hack saw, too much free time. Glue each card of a deck together, and slice a small strip off of the desired side with a band saw or hack saw once the glue has dried (not too thin, for fear of inaccuracy). If you require a thin material, use an image...
