I have recently been getting into doing shows on small stages and street sections, instead of just close up. And I need help finding a cheap and portable mic setup for my shows. Any help is deeply appreciated.

I think that @RickEverhart has one of these. Everything you need for $299. If you get something else, you will need to get wireless microphones, etc.

Something like this : https://www.amazon.com/ION-Audio-Block-Rocker-Plus/dp/B07C32XSH1

You may want to do some Google searches for threads on the Magic Cafe. There are endless threads of bickering on what sound system is best, but for the most part, they are talking the higher end stuff. If you want to go there, this is the least expensive Bose: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/L1Compact--bose-l1-compact-system

Yes, I have the old Happie Amp set up and have used it quite a bit. For the price and what you get you can't go wrong if you are on a tight budget just starting out. It produces great sound volume and clarity, but I don't run my music through it. You can though if you want, via a mic jack from your cell phone or an old ipod.

If you still need help with this one, or have any other questions about Audio/Video/Lighting stuff, i can help as well. i work at full compass (fullcompass.com) and am glad to answer questions, and see what i can do price wise for fellow enthusiasts. I'm relatively new to the magic game, but audio and i go way back.

Cheers!
Andy
