The Six card repeat was invented by a noted mind reader named Tommy Tucker. (Interestingly, the sponge bunnies aka Peter Rabbit goes to Town was invented by another noted mind reader, Robert Nelson. Those mind readers are diverse people!)

While I do not think it appropriate to explain how or where to learn a professional's secrets, I am happy to point you to some of the original sources to begin your study.

The Tarbell Course of Magic has several versions of this trick, and the classic version is still available via magic dealers. My favorite version was George Sand's handling of Elmer Applegit's script. The original is in Hugard's Magic Monthly, though the Sands handling is on one of his "50 Years in Magic" books. Senator Crandall had a very funny version which is in the Tarbell series, and can me seen on the Mystic Craig video series as released by Bill Mchillhany.
