Baffling magic/mind reading

Okay so this is my first ever post on this forum, I just have a quick question on where I could possibly find or buy the teachings to this trick?

So I was asked to shuffle the deck and hand it back, the guy spread the cards to show they were all mixed up gave them straight back and said put them behind your back, give it one full cut and put the top or bottom card in your back pocket, so I did, and without anyone “knowing” the card he managed to guess it, he also did this thing where he takes a picture way before anything started and used that to read what card we chose! I was baffled and still trying to figure it out? Please help!?!?

It was probably a deck switch, as the card you cut to was definitely from a stacked deck.

Yeah, the first effect seems like your typical stacked deck trick, yet with a shuffle. Unless there was some “work” on the deck(e.g crimps, ...) the best explanation is a form of deck switch.
