It is my sincere hope that you were able to get something out of this and you can find the material and genre of coin magic that is available to you, and make it work for YOU. This isn't by any means a complete list, but it should get you up to date and give you some insight on what is out there. Coin Magic is probably the most appealing magic to people because everybody is interested in money. I hope to see some good work coming from you guys now :)

great post, it was definitely needed here, but i disagree with a few things. Joshua Jay's book, Magic: The Complete Course, its a beginners book, and David Roth's book ranges from beginner to really advanced stuff, not really the best place to start out. All in all, excellent post.

Well like I said, not a complete list, but it SHOULD be able to get you started. I found that Joshua Jay's book actually had a couple really good coin items in it, and plus, it;s an all around great read lol. I mainly wrote this just to give you some ideas to see what you want to learn and where it can be found and what is out there to learn. Everything in here I feel is worthy of performance and is actually good lol

Thanks A. Johnson! A lot of places inside the USA often charge a crap load for shipping and often don't have UK conversions so that should help out a bit. And I don't know if I mentioned this, but almost every library/book store will carry Modern Coin Magic, so I don't suggest ordering it online unless you check around your area. But if you do, barnes and noble and Borders usually offer free shipping to your house or local store so that should help out a bit as well.

Anyways, it's good that you put in the time to make this. I think you should put something next to frenchdroptube's channel that says "REALLY SMOOTH!! WATCH THIS GUY!"

No, I really don't think I should. I put this up to help you. If you want help then you will consider every single item on this page. To not do so will simply mean that you don't want to actually put the time and effort into everything that goes with coin magic. Sorry if I sounded discrespectful, it's just my thoughts on effort.

I suggest that you add Michael Rubinstien's Encyclopedia of Coin Sleights to the list. It literally has everything on it.

It teaches lots of stuff that other dvds don't including: Jumbo Coin Vanishes, Coin and Card Moves, and several different retention passes (including my favorite one by Herb Zarrow).

Again, not a complete list but enough to get your knowlege up to date on coin magic. And as much as I truly respect Mike, I really don't care for his "style" of magic. He showcases the moves way too much and his repeition just gets boring to be honest with you.

I would like to suggest "In the beginning there were coins" by Jay Noblezada.

The dvd is killer, and I learned a lot from it transfering from cards to coins.

Noblezada has a knack for teaching too, on top of his knack for magic in general.

I definitely learned coins from bobo's mostly. I need a new book. I am excited about my walking liberty's though (gift from my dad who just happened to have 5 of them...and yet no kennedy halves...)
