Best Camera Angle?

  1. While doing magic with cards, what do you guys think is the better camera angle?
    Please let me know, thanks

  2. The spectator's point of view.

  3. About eye level with you, angled down at your chest/ hands.

  4. This is a misconception. Cameras do not function like the human eye does. A camera mounted at eye level and angled down is going to generally look terrible. At best, it makes you look like a dwarf. At worst, it will cut your head out of the frame at the neck.

Better to stand facing the camera at a 45 degree angle, which approximates the stance we take in conversation while also giving your face and body more definition and a more realistic look. The camera should also be mounted at about chest level. This seems counterintuitive, but the panoply that the camera captures will look a lot better.

  5. Thanks guys!
