I need some advice. Or perhaps more specifically some reassurance.
I've recently (after many years of study and performance) decided my niche as a performer. The Modern Fortune Teller.
I've been scripting my material around this theme recently and one thought experiment I've been working on is using only billet centric demonstrations with a reading in each one for example:
-Destiny's Daughter by Docc Hilford
-Q&A
-Etc
I'm really happy with my material! However, I've learned that the best openers are always fast and are limited in process.
I guess what I'm looking for is someone to tell me any anecdotes of them opening with billet work and how it went for them. Or some suggestions that can add impact when using billets for opening your act!
