Can you iron silks?

Yes...do it on a cool setting though. Gradually warm it up if you are not getting the wrinkles out.

Most irons have a "silks" setting that works. You will never get it as good as new, but it will look fine. Also, store your silks flat between use.

Where else can you get a bunch of guys talking about the best way to iron silk?

Cute, but West Hollywood is far more into the silk thing that the Bay where it's more leather than lace. . .

All kidding aside, the big shows generally use a steamer such as would be used to steam clothing, just pen one edge of the silk to a clothes hanger or rod and hit it with some steam. . . you can use the steam control on a standard iron.

Steam is also the secret when it comes to feather flowers and bringing them back to life
