Chap Stick Vanishes

has there ever been any work done with the different ways to vanish chap sticks?

especially a slow visual retention vanish?

Look at pen vanishes, I'm sure that many could translate to chapstick work

I have. it is a lot of fun. Now I just added redline to the mix. I have been doing magic with chapstick for a few years. the cap is great for impromtu thimble magic

i have this slow retention chapstick vanish that i've been working on which is quite fun and very easy to i was just wondering if any one any work in print before i claim the vanish as my own

Since when is a retention vanish "your own"? It doesn't matter what object you use, it is the move you are claiming credit for. Since you invented neither the retention vanish, nor chapstick you can't claim anything as your own, unless you put it into a routine of sorts.

I would suggest looking into cigarette manipulation. I worked out a very slow, very magical vanish by applying what I know about cigarette magic to bigger, heavier objects (Chapsticks, Batteries, etc)

There's a great small pencil vanish that Jay Sankey teaches on one of his beginner DVDs..... I think it would work with a Chapstick.

I don't know if anybody has mentioned this, but you might want to look into topiting, as well- vanishes using that thing are incredible. The Gecko might also interest you.
