Clipping packets problem

Okay guys, I've searched for an answer for about half an hour on this topic, but to no avail, so here goes:

At the moment I'm practicing Molecule 4 (False) from the Trilogy. I have it pretty much down but I still have 1 main problem;

When I try to pivot the packet on the base of my thumb, the cards tend to slip from my fingers as they are only clipped. Any suggestions as to how i can fix this??
