Control is an amazing effect. It's completely safe and really realistic. It will require a bit of audience management though. Really the only reason I don't perform it that often is because it's such a powerful effect and really takes a lot of time to perform if you truly want the effect to settle in.

The watch stop is okay but definitely no reason to buy the DVD.

Control is one of those effects that you have to have maturity to perform. Choosing when to perform it is so important. If you can't pull off the seriousness needed for a pulse stop effect, then don't bother. If you can, then it's fantastic.

First things first, this is kind of a situational effect. Not that you can't perform it impromptu or only with long sleeves or something, but you CANNOT perform it as a casual or easy-going trick.
I find it quite difficult to be in the situation to perform it. It will take lots of maturity, as praetoritevong says, and your audience also has to be mature enough to believe you, makig it a REAL moment for them, instead of just another TRICK to heckle with. It takes audience management, psychology, and also good timing to perfect it.
Think about it for a week or so before buying, but I'm not going to tell you whether it's worth the mone or not. It is entirely up to what you get out of Control.
Daniel Garcia's effect (bonus) is very nice, and a wonderful effect to follow--or accompany--Control. Danny is also hilarious (as always). His definition of "Cerca Trova" is...undescibable.

Yea, I know it is one of those effects that's ALL about presentation. I'm not planing on getting it yet, I'll probably wait until I feel more comfortable with my magic. But I truly do believe I have the stuff to make it a good performance. But I'll still wait on it. Thanks for the help guys!

Cheers
